Greenhouse Seeds - Kalashnikova Anyone try this strain? Thoughts on the breeder?

i say grow them with out messing with them. take clone's and mess with them a bit. allot of the time if you mess with an unknown strain you loose effect and taste. when i grew outside i always let them do their thing and always had great bud. my friend randy would grow same kind and his cola's was always bigger but he tended to his allot more than i did.

That's interesting. I can only add that because of all the hype, newbie me picked up 3 SLH fems. They all went 65 days + and only one wasn't total crap - like lemon leaning wood putty or something. The third was more pleasant, but not even remotely as good as anything else in that grow. The highs were nothing you'd chase after. In other words, imo, they mostly sucked.

2 Lemon OGs ran a 18 months ago were both excellent grows that came in at 56 days and didn't resemble SLH in any way. Two L-OG are in 12/12 right now at 5 weeks, and are both short and sparkling. Growing beside a c-99 that's reeking of pineapple - as well as 2 Goji clones a week behind - that room has the most amazing burst of aroma when the door is opened.

Not disputing you; but my experiences made your post rather surprising.

yes i believe they were. and ghs may have ripped off some strains. look i should have known better than to say ANYTHING about ghs on this forum. i too have been on here for years (2008), and im not a newbie just running his mouth, it's true that serious had white russian way before kalishnakova came around. im not endorsing them by any means. i only said that dna's lemon skunk is Not the same as ghs lemon skunk and that i have found a couple keeper phenos out of the gear i have run and also said that i have had some not so great experiences. there are lots of better places to go. i was just telling the dude (who didnt pay for the seeds) to give it a shot and see. my advice for anyone who has ever found anything good in a pack of ghs is to keep ur mouth shut on this forum unless u want to be ripped to shreds on here. im not a newbie or spreading bad info. in my personal experience i have found a really good pheno of lemon skunk and a slh after alot a pheno hunting (which i said). i wasn't trying to argue or anything with u saerimmner. i just want to say i am an experienced grower and have gone through lots of strains. i know there are lots of horror stories out there about them. i was simply sharing my personal experience and just because i said a "Halfway" positive thing about them doesn't mean i am an inexperienced arjan pushing fanboy. anyways. just want to say i was not trying to start nothin saerimmner and if it seemed that way i aapologise. the points u made are true as well. i agree with u, the are not a great company. anyways, cheers

Kalashnikova sucks end of story, must have been two random shitty phenos of both ak47 and russian, hated this strain more than any other.

I wasnt having a pop at ya mate or anything, just an observation, also I said a few posts back the post wasnt aimed at anyone in particular lol

Also im well aware you will find the occasional diamond in the big turd pile that is GHS`s (stolen) genetic library lol, the "Las Fingerez" SLH cut is testament to that (see Uk growers/Club 600 thread for details)

Thats the only problem with a0online forums n b) the like button disappearing, very hard to work out if someone is genuine or having a pop at ya (im not btw :-) )

Hey man.....I honestly have no idea what a Pliny is, so I'll assume it's beer. I shared some Becks w/ Blue Oyster Cult during their heyday, and some Heinekens with Little Feat before Lowell died. Drank Molsons one summer at the beach, and bought some Dos Equis to support the Most Interesting Man in the World commercials. Had a St Pauli Girl once when I told a bartender to impress me. Those are considered good beers, right? I dunno........one's good w/ a pizza or wings, but any other time if I'm in the mood for alcohol, sippin' Southern Comfort from the bottle is the go to route.

I have had bad luck with GHS strains. I did chemdog and germination rate sucked and the one plant that did survive was not like any chemdog that I have smoked before. I don't know where they get the genetics of their chemdog but from what I understand it is an American strain. I would not buy from GHS when there are so many great breeders out there now. I like Cannacopia. they have super cheap seeds and their strains are the bomb. I just grew out their Bubba Kush X Deep Chunck and it was freaking awesome. Great taste and beautiful purple buds. Great stuff and easy to grow.

I grew one freebie of the kalishnikova and it was straight hay, like i have never seen before..There is pics of it somewhere on my profile but i promise it was worse then any bagseed i have grown ever.

was just a single seed so maybe there is something to be found. Still why would i even bother when it was hands down the worst bud in my 20+ years of smoking.

p.s. everything else that grow was nice i.e. sannie/kenestes/and a w.o.s. freebie

I thought it was odd that DNA would claim to be using a Super Lemon Haze in their strain.

Check out the descrip. 4 Super Lemon OG > not the old lemon og (lemon skunk x og18)
It may have been from the cup winning clone, but we all know how stable GHS are...

I ordered a 5 pack of Feminised Green House Seeds Kalashnikova.......germinated 4 seeds...2 didn't even germinate or died in the process. 1 was a mutant plant that was very small and leafy throughout most of flower.....has since been reverted back to a veg. state.....maybe I'll put her outdoors and see if she will do anything this summer. But, I got 1 good plant that has the most Lemon Diesel Skunk Funk Flavor I've ever had....which produced about 3.75 ounces after being topped and vegged for 7 weeks. My Final verdict: If you can get a good clone of this strain......grow it. If you're going to buy beans......buy something else. 1 out of 4 seeds is a rip off when paying top dollar for good genetics

Well I went ahead and popped some of these beans since I originally posted this. Results were less than stellar. Two mutant plants that started with three leaves instead of two. They both hermied. Of the remaining three seeds only two actually germinated correctly and grew out. Those two were "OK" smoke bit nothing to write home about. Grown under 600w my/hps, topped once, bubblepot, blah blah.

I grew the greenhouse seeds money maker, didn't taste that good but yield was good, maybe could be a good plant for edibles had a lot of trics but just not my cup of tea.

GHS Super Lemon Haze is NOT DNA's Lemon Skunk renamed.

GHS and DNA's Lemon Skunk is the same. SLH is crossed to an elite SSH. The Lemon Skunk dominates the cross.

That must be why I got almost identical plants from a SLH freebie + DNA lemon skunk.
I honestly didn't notice any haze structure or effects in the plant.

I grew out 2 Kalashnikovas and chopped one down last night. The one I chopped down was absolutely covered in Trichs. The other one I have still going isn't very frosty and its half the height of the one I chopped. Very high Leaf To Bud ratio on the one still going. I mean GHS im sure has some pretty awesome strains, they just need to stabilize them more so we don't have to grow out 10 to get 3 good ones.

Well, they are closely related and the Lemon Skunk dominates anything it touches it seems. But all the SLH I have tried definitely seem to have some underlying haze in both structure and effect.
