I haven't grown White Rhino, although it's been on my list for a while. It has, however, never ceased to leave my mind whenever I think of the 5 best strains I've ever smoked. It was frosted beyond belief. Very earthy, skunk flavor. Kinda more hash-like & dark than it is sweet, but a great deep flavor nonetheless!

You read some strains that are 20% potency or more that have the description 'narcotic high'. I would have to say this is one of the only strains I've smoked that I'd personally give that description. And damn right it deserves it! =)

Have you already bought your seeds or are you looking to purchase soon?

I'm growing White Widow right now and they are from the same genetic line. I find they are easy to grow compared to others. Loves nitrogen during veg, as it will branch out with lots of tight nodes & future budsites if you keep em fed properly with good lighting. I really appreciate the compact budsites over some of my other strechier strains. White Widow from what I read grows best & yields more when topped. If you have the room for it, def bush it out by topping multiple times throughout veg.

And with any strain, be patient in letting them finish! While they say 8 weeks, I'm gonna let my WW go 10 if she lets me (and I'm 99% positive she will). You WILL see an incredible difference in both weight & potency.

thanks for the info i currentely have a couple going. they seem to be preatty condensed and look great. they have some of the biggest waterleaves ive seen in a while! that great to know about the taste though, for me taste is a real big part of quality! i have chance to get some clone only chemdogs. any ideas on that stairn? thanks for your time

also i want to take pics but the lights make the pic weird.looks like horizontal lines across the pics, any ideas?
That happens for most cameras at most angles. The only way you can get a pic without lines with the HPS on, is by shooting the pic from above the height of where your light is sitting, otherwise those intense rays will hit your camera lense and distort the picture.

You'll notice a lot of people turn their high wattage lights off when they take pics, and either use natural light by pulling the pots out into a different room or outside for a min, or by just turning on a reg incandecent or flouro in your home and snapping the pic.

Sweet, you should def journal your plants in this thread and update pics weekly. Would love to stay up on them developing. My best advice for learning how to grow properly, or better than your last, is to really do your homework. Pull out a notepad and jot down keywords of anything you've ever wondered in regards to growing, whether it's feeding/nutrients, light, hydro, soil, bacteria, ... and search it out in various ways on here, google it, never be afraid to ask questions, and so on ... And you WILL continue to see noticable differences in your grows. It's all about how serious you take your new hobby, but it's very fun and I wish ya good luck!

As for Chemdog, I have no experience with that line. Although from what I hear it's gaining popularity. There are many others on here who do have experience with it, so that could be another thing you could put on your list to research on here. You'll find some good info.

I grew Green House Seeds White Rhino on my first grow. It was a good strain for my first grow that's for sure. They say flowering time is 9 weeks, but I let mine go for 11 weeks until I got 70% red hairs and the crystals turned from clear to milky white. 9 weeks would have been pre-mature.

did you use a preflower nute? like open sesame or bud blood? just curious, I harvested at 60 days, with plenty o' amber trichs.

No I didn't, I'll have to try it this time around. What are the preflower nutes usefull for? I just used a combo of Advanced Nutrients Grow, Micro, Bloom. It was my first grow

open sesame or budblood, now bud ignitor, from a.n. they basically start the flowering process alot quicker. ive had flowers start up in 7 days from flip. as opposed to 14-21 days.

rep is reputation- just click the sherriff looking star at the lower left of post. it makes the green dots appear above your avatar. and go up with more rep. so you are more reputable

I used an conni and I had great results, although you have to use very carefully. It gave me an average of 6.5 oz a plant, one plant was 8 oz. So this shit worked. check out my white russian plants to see the size of them. they were in soilless medium.
