Hello all, long time lurker first thread here. I’m growing cannabis for the first time since 2015 so I guess you could call me a noob again. I’ve been growing veggies and fruit organically since 2012 so I have some experience with gardening. I finally have my own place and a good spot to start growing that delicious herb again. I’m excited to bring anyone along the journey as I try some things I’ve never done before with cannabis. I’ll get to the chase now.

I’m growing 6 plants per California law. Rosetta Stone XX and Space Queen XX by Brothers Grimm, Bad Girl and Snowcaine by Twenty20Mendocino and Collieman Kush and Stoopid Fruits by Humboldt Seed Company. Using 3 different soil mixes to compare their long term performance of no till in Grassroots living soil pots. One Coots mix, one a custom LOS mix derived from coots recipe and one is the Master Mark Supersoil mix from GYG. If you know you know haha.

I started seeds for the first time on 4/24 at 2am and on 4/25 the first one broke the surface of the soil. I’ve normally run clones in the past from a former roommate so I’m excited to pick my own genetics instead of just whatever he had. Although he did have some dank phenos. I’ll keep updating with pics and whatnot whenever I have time. But here’s the first pic of life and the 1 week old photo.

Here’s a pic of my germination station I threw together using recycled wood from an old loft bed.

2 week old update. I’ll be moving them under a stronger light within the next 2 days. They’ve currently been under a spiderfarmer 74W veg light and they will be heading to a viparapectra p2500 for a few weeks until moving out side.

Moved them to my viparapectra p2500 to finish up their indoor life. Fed all seedlings their first compost tea and everything is very happy.

Transplanted into 5 inch pots for the last few weeks till they go outdoors for their final home. They handled it great.

I’ve been super busy getting the garden ready so it’s been a little while since I last posted. Ladies were topped June 1st and have started to branch out. Released last bugs to feast on some aphids I’ve noticed on my tomatoes. And I’ve been moving soil and mulch to fill in my garden. Now that the pots have their final home I’m just waiting for this heat wave to pass them the ladies will get into their final pots. Probably going to transplant them Sunday.

Forgot to mention the collie man kush is so much smaller due to my own fault. It got overwatered for a couple weeks due to my kid frequently watering it when it was already soaked. But now that it’s more out of reach it’s bounced back and with a vengeance.

Life’s gotten in the way so it’s been awhile since I updated. All plants are doing great besides the collie man kush due to my own fault. As much as I’d love to grow huge bushes, I don’t consume as much as I once did and I wanted to keep the plants rather small to not attract much attention having a family and all. So I’m pretty happy with the size they turned out.
