GreenPoint Seeds Test Grow: Rugburn OG x Monster Cookies

Update,

day 4 flower, Flipped Saturday and they run 6pm-6am.

Fed them a AACT consisting of a handful thermal compost, 1/3 cup EWC, 1 tablespoon Molasses in 1 gallon that had been bubbling 26 or so hours. I diluted that 1-1 with distilled water, 2 quarts total,and gave each girl The half gallon mix.

I had attempted a SIP system with on girl and she hated it, showed signs of overwatering after 2 days.

Anyway, the pictures are pheno #2, and I will stop LST I think if the other colas catch up

-another picture of pheno #2,

- pheno #3 which I LST'd pretty heavily tonight,

-pheno #3 again,

- pheno #4 who I supercropped but I kind of want to see her grow naturally, idk, this is a mixed grow technique grow lol.

- the next two photos are of the super crop I did, and then her growth.

- then 2 shots of them in their homes and a shot of the clone I took when I topped pheno #1.

I apparently didn't take a photo of pheno 1 and can only upload so many so I will be bumping this in like 3 minutes lol

Just grabbed me a few crosses from Gu~ - Tahoe, Gorilla Grape Gush and Chem4.
Your plants are looking so healthy bro. Nice glossy leaves. Got any smells starting?

Also what are they under now for flowering? Still the Onyx? What kinda yield do you expect from it? RapidLED look very nice imo

Yeah under the Onyx, and I also have a 95w actual China panel in there along with 2 DIY cobs putting out about 30w each. The Onux is at about 2 foot above the plants, but there is seriously little to no stretch in there. I think I could be at or around light saturation point but idk about that. They smell so good, earthy with a little skunk in there. They are BUSH monsters if you couldn't tell from the pic. I took a clone tonight so I have a clone of each and the clone I took from the one I topped is doing well, I just put her in a 18 oz cup with 5 shot glasses of peat, 3 perlite, and 2 of EWC, then I spread a little more EWC around the top and put a petite mulch over the top.

I also got some of the StarDawg crosses! Cookies N Creme, Bruce Banner, GG4, and the OG Kush (Tahoe)! Loving it, 40 seeds for just under $100, can't beat that :blsmoke:

were you in the 1st pre-sale lot? GG4 had already gone before it opened for me.
yea id say shes looking preetty hermy lol. Can try pull off balls if reasonable and can separate from main flower room - I had a trainwreck that threw balls at 2 weeks but no more afterwards..just pulled them off and they don't come back. had great smoke too actually. But in general I'd kill it lol.

Yeah I killed it, it will go to my mulch pile and thermal compost pile. I hate killing plants and clones blah. Oh well, recycled the soil into my cooking batch and it made more room in the tent!

Unfortunate I pray that's the only one that does tht to u! I've got GG4 and GrapeGush x MC and also waiting on cooks n cream & elephant stomper stardawg crosses.. I've been searching for someone with successful female and yet to find anyone who's females hasn't hermie'd on them.. Has me worried but I'm hopeful for a stable strain but this is the gamble with newly crossed untested genetics jus unfortunate the time and $ that's possibly wasted into hoping for "that one" as it seems now.. Sending good grow vibes to you all!! And Iwill be posting my grow on this thread as well

yea so do I, how many we talking man? like ten, 20 grows? haven't seen many greenpoint grows at all tbh

Yea I'm kinda shocked there aren't a lot of journals out there as many crosses as he was testing. I know lots of people do the Instagram thing which I don't for many reasons but man I hoping to see more. I think people fail to realize that herms are in all strains it's in cannabis genes to do it period so it can happen with the most stable strain. It's a survival tactic so it's not all that bad as people make it out to be but people really need to take into account their growing conditions. That's mainky why herem happen so if you get them check for light leaks, low light at the bottom of plants, high ppm feedings, pests and many other conditions cause that so don't be so quick to blame genetics. It could take several runs before actually finding out that the strain and or pheno is actually stable so don't chuck those just yet. I pluck them off unless they're continuing to grow more and more everyday but if they don't come back chances are it was a stress and it won't happen when conditions are right

Can't believe I missed that sale. Didn't never know what day is was supposed to happen. Oh well that's fine cus I'll have many more chances to get them. I want Banner#3 and Lemon G and maybe the 92OG

That's why I was a little upset I didn't get chosen for the StarDawg testers, I am one of the few grows online I have seen.

I know MJ is a hermi plant naturally so I have no qualms at all about buying the genetics I did. y'all are exactly right, there are hermis even from Fem seeds, etc. to truly find a Pheno I mean you should be going through 50 or more plants lol, I just need one to be a viable female and still have 3 more. the genetics are superb and I can't wait to pop even more!

Yea I feel you bro. I was gonna apply too but I have test strains already and not enough space plus I think I'll be getting another tester cross from SinCity so no room for more test beans.

Your definitely right about pheno hunting. People get so upset when things go wrong out of one pack of seeds but fail to realize that's not really pheno hunting and anything can happen once that seed cracks open. Everyone wants to blame the breeder and never themselves and their conditions. You will get a viable female I'm sure of that but can't wait to see those Stardawg crosses too

Ugh, I think I have another Hermi....maybe I'm overreacting, and they are just really swollen calyxs? This freaking blows. It's not my environment I am under 79 degrees at lights on, no light leaks, nothing that would cause stress like this....

1st post, second picture is of the top of the plant with white pistils, which would indicate female correct?

Naw bro that's not pistils that's the crown of a male. They look like thin lil white hairs coming out. I didn't see any female flowers on the pix so it just looks like a male to me

That's what I'm seeing too.
If you notice, underneath the clusters of balls is a small protrusion.
Those are formed before the clusters of balls; you're just mistaking those for white hairs.

Just let them grow awhile longer and you'll see what I mean.
