grinding

I know this has nothing to do with growing but what is the purpose of using a grinder to break up the weed? Is there any benefits?

To make small pieces suitable for rolling into a joint or blunt. Also good for packing a bowl, breaking it up allows air to flow more freely and it'll burn evenly.

some people don't like grinding their weed tho cause it breaks off the trichomes and rather smoke the bud as is

Yea grind jt up as much as possible for vaping. And smoking joints want it ground up but not powdered and not clumpy. For bowls you can just break it up by hand usually. This is the weirdest question seems self explanatory

Grinders break bud up more consistently, making for a more even burn. I find it's just easier, pop in a bud or 2, crank twice..perfectly broken up bud in less than 10 secs. Plus, I got sausage fingers that don't work well with scissors.

I've found that with really dense, dank nuggets, scissors are pretty useless for cutting them up enough to roll a good joint. I started using an electric coffee grinder and have never looked back.

Grinder for sure! Space Case grinders are really nice. I have had a couple Sharp Stone grinders too and they are good, but they get dull pretty fast and kinda mash up the ganja instead of grinding it up. I love the collect the kief and use it as a nice sedative for bed. Here is a pic just before it ate a Fruit Punch nug. Mine is the large 3.5" model. ;)
