my seeds should be here any day now. does anyone have any tips on growing. and will 2 250 watt regular house light bulbs give me the results im looking for????:leaf:

i know alot of people on RIU use cfls if thats what u mean. They have blues for veg and reds for flowering...id perfer t5 for veg and hps for flowering

id go with t5s then no heat and barley uses any electric pretty sure you can flower with them too just switch the bulbs to a red spectrum....how many plants do u plan on growing?

then go scrog , screen of green, reg filliment bulbs wont work . u need compact floroesent or t5ho floro fixture or high pressure sodium . the eaziest for a budget wood b t5 , hps requires venting and cooling making electric bills expand but make bigger buds :leaf:

yeah a nice t5 for 2 plants is only 100 bucks it has 2 bulbs but i have the 4 for 125... if you could get her to let you grow 2 more you could buy 2 lights and harvest every 4.5 weeks

250watts of incandescent bulbs, 250 watts of hps, 250 watts of mh, 250 watts of cfl will all effect your light bill the same!

You want to use a light that produces a correct spectrum that can be used by the plant, HPS for flowering, MH for vegging, CFLs 2700k for flowering and i think its 5400k for vegging?

basically, blue for veggies, red for flowers :)
