Unless you have excellent soil.Shitty soil/mix=shitty plant.
Cannabis is considered a "Pioneer weed" which means it prefers bacteria dominant soil. Bacteria dominant soil has low levels of anaerobic bacteria, high levels of aerobic bacteria, and lower levels of fungi in ratio to bacteria. Scope out the plants around the site. If the majority of the landscape is holding "old growth" like shrubs, trees, etc. you will need to do some amending. If it's mostly grasses and plants that seed and die, chances are it's bacteria dominant and will only need fertilizer. Of course, if you are unsure, always amend the soil.

Like Hydro said. A stitch this time will save you nine.

This will tell you what the hell organic soil does. (Or is supposed to do)

Man thanks yall, through the conversation I think Im gonna amend the soil with some peat coco, and some compost, probably a little vermiculite depending on the costs, and throw in some of that Marine Cuisine and Fox Farm liquids.

I piss around my plants everytime I go out, and I have irish spring, so whatever keeps the dear away Ill use. I dont have dogs though:cry::cry:

Any thoughts? I'm pretty sure it should work but dont know a few stuff.

NL how many holes does one bag of that marine cuisine go into?

Same thing with the vermiculite.

ANy other thoughts:idea:, critisicsms:shock:, applause:clap:??

You can purchase containers up past 200 Gallon size, so bags have no real advantage except in cost. But a large container will last you many many years...so it's a push price wise actually. The largest I have on hand is a 25 pictured here next to a 3. I can grow any strain in there without worrying about inhibiting the root system. I don't because I don't want to grow plants that large. I live in an anal retentive state when it comes to weed (and a few other things too).

I tend to move mine around a bit, so containers are best for me. But certainly the ground (if properly prepped) will grow a tree as well.

Well I buy the 25 lb bag for about 60 dollars but the also have a 4 lb bag for about 15 dollars. I use 2 handfuls when I mix in. If there is alot of rain I will spread 1 handful per plant. As for how many it will do, I'd say you'll be fine with the 4 lb bag size.

The Vermiculite should be at least 30%. It will assist drainage and boost Bio-activity. If the soil already has perlite, cut back by half.

I AM NOT THE GUERRILLA EXPERT!

If you can't make it to the site on a regular basis, you should use a mix that holds water well, but won't puddle. They have organic materials out that will hold moisture and slowly release it.

I know nature, and growing, but rarely mix the two. I'm legal so I don't have a need any more!

Ha nice fraw, thanks for the info too. Im thinking about grabbing 6bags of peat moss, either 2.2 or 3 cu ft depending on what lowes has, and a bag or two of the marine cuisine, same with the vermiculite, but honestly with my money situation, thats last on my list. Thanks for all the help guys!!!!
