Man that sucks....Fortunately, this is just a small test grow to be followed by much bigger ambitions. This was the first time I tried to identify sex and I thought I had it. What about the huge ball that looks exactly like a pollon pod?
I would have waited for a reply before I chopped them but I've been posting on this thread for a while with absolutely no feedback. So if it was a female I'll chalk it off to a learning experience. Besides, now I have more room to practice my LST. I just germ'd 14 more seeds for my new project

Good eye whacky. Yeah, that was def a female. What made you think it was a male?
Here is a tip. See on the other pic you seen the male? You see how there are clusters of the little pollen sacks? Wait until you see at least 1 cluster, that way you will know its a male, and not miss diagnose again.
But yeah, you can clearly see the V shaped hairs on that. Good eye whacky

What huge ball? You mean the 2 oval looking things on each sides? Those are side shoots growing. New growers can often mistake them for pollen sacks. A new grower thought mine was a male because of that, I said your looking at the sideshoots. He kept arguing with me it wasn't and it was a male. So after they developed I showed him...See, this is what you thought was a seed pod, its a side shoot, now here are the female hairs.
At least thats what I think you are talkign about, because I don't see anything else a new grower could mistake as a pollen sack

So if I'm getting this correctly, I want to wait for a "cluster" of pods before making the call? I assumed that was a male because of the "pod" looking thing....live and learn.
Here's my next project....I hope you guys are around in 6-8 weeks so I don't kill any more female!!!

This is one plant LST'd in a PC Growbox twenty-one days on 12/12. I think that two plants LST'd from opposite corners will give me the max yeild out of this thing. My last grow was also only one plant and it yeilded me a half z of dried cured bud. My goal for this grow is 3/4 oz. Two plants properly LST's should yeild well over a oz.
You'll see were I cut off some of the leaves on one of the forming buds, it grew into the light within a few hours after LST and was damaged! I'll be more careful next time. This is a very strong little plant.
LST Rocks!! Instead of having one large top I have 5 or 6 small ones...check it out

Hi Everybody,
I changed the res and added 930 ppm and 5.6 ph water. This little lady is drinking a half gallon of nutes per week!!
I reversed the entire res inside the PC Case this change so the plant gets a different light perspective. I also did some root pruning.
I'd like to hear some diagnosis on the discolored leaf, bugs, burn, etc...?

I bought the box from homegrown-hydroponics.com
Truely the worst site/company I've ever dealy with in my life!! I received the box (6 weeks later) broken, missing parts, no instruction, spilled nutes, and the box is FULL of light leaks you'll have to address.
When I called customer service (obviously one guy who has an 800 number forwarded to his cell phone) it was implied that it was my fault for not checking the package before UPS left.
I spoke with a Howard, who I believe was a half-a-fag, and also slightly retarded. He had absolutely no interest in hearing about my piece-of-shit product, and he hid behind some fine print that is apparently written somewhere on the website. After pulling teeth for over a month he finally sent me a replacment for my broken bulb, and it was the wrong one.
I guarantee that HOMEGROWN-HYDROPONICS.COM is two braindead friends building these peice-o-shit boxes in their mothers basement. It's not a real company, but their products will speak for themselves.
That said - I think that there are reputable companies out there, Homegrown-Hydroponics just isn't one of them. When I bought my box I was very excited to just get started that I had no interest in building my own.
