Grow and flower with CFL

Hey guys im currently growing 1 small plant in a small area. approx. 15" tall 15" long and 7.5" wide. a small pc grow.

I am currently using 88 watts of cfls 4 lights.

I was wondering how much wattage will i need when i flower.

im a newb when it comes to growing so anything will help.

i may be really confused, but the math on that is just under 1.5 cubic feet.

I'm not sure if you can get a plant to stay that small, but if you can 88 watts should be more than sufficient.

You have enough light for a plant in such a small space. Just change bulbs to 2700k and flip.

i ran veg 42/7 for 4 weeks. currently 2nd week of flowering. plant is 12" tall. but with the pot its 18" tall. i got 180 watts of cfl (800watt equivalent)

general rule to go by is 100w of CFL per plant, more the better. 88w will get it through veg and a flower with a minimal yield.

That is definitely the general rule. I would say that 100W is probably a maximum inside of a comupter case though (4 x 25W CFLS).

Consider that a plant continually grows, and that it's growth rate is determined by : water, light received, and nutrients.

So as a plant grows, the light received goes up ebcause more surface area is receiving light, so plants grow exponentially.

So basically what I'm saying is start out weaker with lights, and add more, if you give it 100w in a computer case the whole time it will out grow the computer case.

I would go with 1-2 cfls during veg, and 2x25W and 2x 13 W during flower.

People will say "oh, that's not nearly enough light for a good yield", but remember you're growing it in a computer case, yield quantity can't possibly be the deciding factor to your strategy here.

Thank you. What you said, just answered my question that I asked in the first place. Because I'm only using 65 watts for veg. I was thinking of using 2 23w 2700k for flowering.
