Grow bags, is 10gls too small?

Hiya
Having discovered that the soil in the forest where i wanna grow is a) thick clay soil and b) riddled with roots from nearby trees I think im gonna have to use grow bags instead.
Obviously the bigger the better, but im wondering if 10 gallon bags are simply too small...can anyone tell me if they restrict the growth so much that its really a bad idea?

10 gallon should be good bud, thats almost 40 liters of soil in ya bag

they like to go out rather then deep

Just till a tiny bit below the pot even an inch or soand cut holes in the bottom so the roots can grow out. Your biggest issue will be watering. look into grabbing a bag of water crystals to retain water and you should be fine

As everyone has said already, 10 gallon pots will do just fine. I've pulled a lb from a 10 gallon pot numerous times outdoors. Obviously bigger will be better for many reasons, but 10 gallons will definitely work for sure.

I wouldn't say it restricts growth so much as it limits it. Growing in a smaller pot isn't going to hurt anything, it's just that you'll have a smaller harvest than if you'd used a larger pot. I've seen some people on these forums bragging about pulling two pounds from 100 gallon pots when that can easily be done with 10-30g. All depends on your genes and other factors.

Definately get some hay or water crystals or something cuz they'll be very thirsty in 10 gal pots especially if they get alot of sun

Make sure you'll have a good southern exposure.. growing in and around forests can be tricky. Imo morning sun is most important during flower bc it helps dry the dew. Ideally you want min 6 hrs direct sun all season

Ok so I need some water crystals...I'll be using a pre-mixed soil from one of the nute companies which has worm castings and so on. I was also thinking about adding some coco for aeration/drainage, does that make sense?
Also, what would you advise for watering...1 litre a week? That's just a random guesstimate
It's a good place I've found, I know these woods like the back of my hand cos I go mountainbiking there. South facing and well away from the hiking trails people use, I'm pretty positive something good will come of it!
