Grow cab help

With a grow cab like this Husky Metal Front Base Cabinet (30WX19DX34H) - 17184342 at The Home Depot what kind of lights, fans, could I use and also how would I install these things. I want to start growing indoor because its too risky to continue outdoor. Im not really lookin for mass quantities maybe just two small plants.

250 HPS
S&P TD-125 fan
Cand filter 2900 or can filter 33

I have a cab i my sig.... my veg chamber is that size.

I would rethink that cab. It is less than 3' tall. What medium are you planning to grow in? If "stealth" plants need about a 3 gallon container (that is 12" tall) so now you are down to 2'. If you use CFL's or tube fluoro maybe take away 6". That will leave you with (at best) 1.5' tall plants. I can be done for sure but I would want more potential yield versus my cost/risk/time.

I figured that cab would be too small. What are some other small yet workable cabs are out there? If anyone could offer some input on small cabs that would be great.

cabs workable, sure, and for two plants that would be fine,
there are many things you can do to make full use of horizontal space [lst, pruning etc]


E=MC is lining up yield against cost/risk/time
but if you got something small, you'll finish quicker [less veg time], and with less risk than a not-so-stealthy larger/brighter/noisier setup. In addition the costs of electricity would be limited by the light you can fit in there.

I say that if you want yield, then ok, upgrade, but to increase yield,
you will probably increase cost, risk and time in doing so.
[personally I'd go with something a little less industrial looking but thats just me ]

Thanks for the input Kaos. Do you know of any other small cabs i could take a look at. This particular one would be pretty stealthy but i suppose if there is better it is definately worth the work

As long as it doesn't stand out in the room it should be fine. An important thing is material if you're gonna customize it, gotta make sure you can hack it up where you need to...only the doors on that thing are metal right?

The rest depends on how stealthy it has to be.

try an armoir or a tall dresser. i have a dresser i have converted for my veg and cloning in my pic`s somewhere. if you cant find i can post it to get an idea. mine isn`t tall it is a wide one but it can give an idea what to look for
