Yea, I really can't complain about them one bit. I also have their TS-1000 and that's a pretty good one too. I am more then pleased with the results I get.I can say for a budget led not a bad deal

The plant on the far left was my Green Crack x Amnesia Haze. That thing just flowered forever. Anyways. I dropped the temps down to around 60-65 lights off for a couple hours then back up to 65f for the rest of lights off. I ran lights on no higher then 75f. I was able to pull some nice purple and reds from the Jack Herer. Jack is the plant far right in first pic.I have a 7 gal plant under a full power ts1000 and im pretty happy with the results now because the cold night temps they got a nice purple on the edges
I just brought her down in late November. Fantastic smoke too.looks nice the jack got pretty damn purple
I would try to have the room to bring the lights all the way to the top if needed, so you're plan sounds good. But like I said I don't have any experience with carbon filters, so maybe listen to some others advice. I was hoping Renfro would chime in since I know he could give you some good tips. The filter will be in the middle of the cab, that way the two QB96 can hang right next to it. I have 6.10 feet height and adding a carbon filter horizontally will make me lose about one foot, nothing noticeable but i would rather gain that 1 foot on my plants, thats why i decided to go with the middle filter in the middle. However i am afraid that in the future if i needed to upgrade to something better it wont fit. Do you think its worth it? Or i should sacrifice that 1 foot height?
Lebanon, so stealth is a very important factor for me. 4 inch fans and filters fit perfectly for my plan, however if i want to upgrade to 6 inch later i will have to space difficulties, so i need to make the decision up front. Do you think that extra feet height is worth it? Or i sacrifice it for a bigger fan and filter? My total area is 2x4x6.10I think your ideas will all work fine. If you need to change the filter location in the future that’s no big deal. Remember that while watering your plants it can get stinky in your house for a while after. A 6” fan turned down is often more stealthy. Ac infinity make a quiet fan that runs on pwm dc power. Great for stealth. What country out of curiosity? Mayswell move to Canada.
I’m sure the 4” fan will do the job. I am confused because you say you want to hang it horizontally in post 1. Then you say your gonna hang the lights beside it. Then you say you don’t wanna lose head room.Lebanon, so stealth is a very important factor for me. 4 inch fans and filters fit perfectly for my plan, however if i want to upgrade to 6 inch later i will have to space difficulties, so i need to make the decision up front. i dont have access to a variety of strains, i will be growing the lebanese landrace, unless i can get my hands on some other strains.
My original plan was to put the filter and fan in the middle of the cabinet, that way i will have place of the right and left next to them for the lights.I’m sure the 4” fan will do the job. Anyway the filter and fan will work best up above the lights horizontally. That’s where the heat is concentrated. But they will also work any number of other ways if you need it to.
Im still debating on how to put the intake holes and make it as stealth as possible. I decided to get a 6 inch inline fan instead of a 4 inch, so i need two 6 in nch intake holes, im brainstorming about how to make them light tight and stealthy at the same time before i build the cabinet.I'd have the intakes on the lower right rear and exhaust upper left rear.
Or.. intakes on the lower left rear and exhaust is the upper right rear.
Tons of ideas to be had for your cab in the Stealth / Micro / Cab Growing section.
Good luck!
I went with a four inch exhaust and made three four inch intake holes that easily accommodate four inch soffit vents. On the insides of those vents, I created circular filters out of basic heat register filters and on the outside I slid a furnace filter over the three vents and then covered it with a sheet of black breathable weed barier from the garden center. The weed barier cuts down on the amount of escaping light considerably but it's still not 100 percent stealthy. Some light still can be seen in the three inch space between the cabinet and the wall. So I lean a couple of guitar cases against the cabinet and the escaping light can't be seen unless the guitar cases get moved.Im still debating on how to put the intake holes and make it as stealth as possible. Im leaning more towards pvc pipes or darkroom vents, but the darkroom vents are expensive, so i have to figure out how to make a stealth pvc pipes lite trapI went with a four inch exhaust and made three four inch intake holes that easily accommodate four inch soffit vents. 45 degree pvc elbows will certainly help...so i have to figure out how to make a stealth pvc pipes lite trap
