Ok, so I'm building a somewhat stealth grow cabinet that houses both the clone and the flowering rooms, so height is a concern. Right now, my clone room will only allow the plants to be only 7 inches tall (basically touching the 24watt t5s), and my flowering room will allow the plants to be about 27 1/2 inches tall (4 inches from the cool tube)
Should I lower the self down a notch? That would make it 9 inches clone, 25 1/2 inches in the flowering.
What do you guys use to light proof everything (mine is metal)? I'm thinking some sort of caulk or other liquid-type substance for the tiny little screw holes (what is best?), but have no idea what to use on the door edges and the side edges of the the self.
I don't really want to, but I'm going to get an ozone generator for the odor, as fitting a carbon filter in this cabinet is not possible. Any other ideas?
Sound is a huge concern at the moment. I have a 6 inch Vortex fan that is loud as shit when I turn it on although I don't any ducting on it yet, I know that'll muffle it some. Kicker is, the website said that this fan is "speed controllable" so my plan was to just put it on low but I don't see a speed setting. Anybody know anything about vortex fans that maybe I'm just missing?
