Grow Cabinet Plans...NEED HELP/OPINIONS!!!

So, I came across an old cabinet in my attic today and was thinking of converting it into a dual-chamber grow cabinet. My problem is, i'm not sure what i should use for lighting, filtering, air flow, ect. The top shelving portion will be gutted, and ridded of all shelving units inside.View attachment 2164655

I'm your standard soil grower, and don't plan on switching to any form of hydroponics at the moment. I would like to have the bottom chamber to be used for the vegetative stage, and the top for the flowering stage. Ideally, I would like to have a perpetual SOG (or SCROG). Don't worry, I have other resources to get clones readily, when needed, so no need for a mother chamber in this grow cabinet. I plan to use permaflect mylar, because it's very durable, and honestly the best light refelctive material I've used to date.

Cab Dimensions:

31" (L) x 15" (W) x 66.5" (H)

So now the real questions???

1.) For the top chamber (flowering), what lighting should I use? I was thinking of a 250w HPS light fixture, and do not want to use CFL's nor LEDs.

2.) Once having answered the light question above, what size inline fan should I use or what kind of ventilation would you reccomend to keep minimal temperatures?

3.) Same two questions above applied to the bottom chamber (vegetative).

4.) Lastly, what's the best way to keep it light tight, or any materials that best keep the cabinet light proof? As this will be in a open room w/ other lights possibly being on during the "lights off" period.

Also, I should add that I would like this grow cabinet to be as close to, if not, 100% stealth if possible. Noise is of main concern at this point.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and will DEF give you a good rep for any helpful replies.

Thanks!

Just gut it and keep everything on the front. The top already has hinges so thats done, and the bottom just cut the drawers off and keep the front part and i would either either make a door out of it, or just make a way they can set back in there so you can pull the front on and off easily. I'm an LED grower so i would recommend LED lighting, they would be perfect for what you have and have gotten much more affordable recently, but since you prefer not to i would say that HPS may get too hot and a t5 high output may be your answer (this will fit http://www.homedepot.com/buy/2-ft-t5-high-output-fluorescent-grow-light-fixture-250645.html). a regular 2 bulb t8 system would be good for the bottom too (http://www.homedepot.com/Lighting-Fans/h_d1/N-25ecodZ5yc1vZbvn5/R-202814056/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=t8&storeId=10051 woud even work)

for vent i would run an open intake on the bottom, pc fans blowing from the veg chamber into the flowering chamber, and an inline sucking air out the top (http://www.gothamhydroponics.com/fans-filters-ducts/fan-filter-combos/fan-and-filter-combo-4-inch-inline-fan-4-inch-300mm-filter.html would work if you dont go with HPS amazon might have some cheaper)

sorry i was just surprised home depot sells all this now so i went crazy

Alright, well if you recommend LED's i'd be willing to give it a shot! I was thinking about taking up your idea regarding the T5 high output light fixture in combination with 2 LED light pads to put on the sides of the flowering chamber (not sure wattage, i'm new with these lol). How does that sound ghettotrigger? And what wattage LED's should i get? And how much do they run these days? Thanks!

One more question....If i'm running pc fans from my vegetative chamber into my flowering chamber, wouldn't that disrupt the flowering cycle when the lights are off in the top chamber, yet still running in the lower chamber? And when you say run an open intake on the bottom, do you mean on the very bottom of the cabinet or on the back wall of the bottom chamber?
