Grow clones in hydro then on to soil?

Can I take some cuttings and use something like the aerogarden (or any other hyrdo system) to grow them until they have a decent set of roots and then transfer them to soil?

I'd love to go all hydro but soil is working for me so far and I don't want a bunch of extra electrical cords etc. at least not for right now.

Would this work ok or?

If you can keep the temps in the airogarden water then yes it's possible. Clones thrive in warm temps & a humid environment. Dnt matter what the grow medium is.

After your clone can stay perky & green withoutthe use of any humidity dome & she has healthy strong roots then you may transplant into whatever you plan to keep her in. This way she can have a strong imune system to heal her from her transplant. Shock.

Been there done that, works just fine. Actually works better to get your clones going in RockWool first, then when roots pop just bury the whole thing a few inches down.

Thanks for the replies! Will check out a couple of the DIY cloners on here in the meantime.

I use a bubble cloner which is just a rockstone from a fish tank , a house , pump , water heater and and plastic container with top. here's a pick...

this works very well pretty much fool proof, no soluton just water. here's some pics of mine...>>> https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/212820-clones-bubbla.html could find directions instead going to bed too put its pretty but its pretty easy to find just type bubble cloning or cubble cloners.......:sleep:ohh ya it was my first thread didnt know how to post thats why its in marijuana problems, cause there's no problems with this

PBFseedco. nice setup! I wasn't able to find all the parts locally so I picked up a 25 site cloner off Fleabay for about $80 which, while more pricey than DIY looks like it is going to be perfect!
