As stated in 2 threads previous to this one, I screwed up the last one. I was trying something new by trying to grow "bonzai-type" plants with bagseed in a little container, and it didn't work. The sativa phenotype in that particular bagseed strain killed that idea. So, I built a new bin (similar to ones i've used in the past) and we'll do it the way I know best. This is a 10 gallon rubbermaid bin fashoned with 2 large 6" net pots (that would normally go on a 5 gallon bucket). The usual volume of water that I fill it with is about 8 gallons, maybe a little less. I'm still using the Flora Nova, although its really starting to piss me off because of how bad it sometimes coats the roots with it's gunkiness. But, for now that's what I'm going to use. No more h202, the winter temps are helping to keep my resevoir cool, so i'm no't worrying about root rot.
As for the strains, the one on the right is from the same sativa-type genetics that the other came from. I am bound and determined to get some smoke from this bagseed strain and see what kind of high it gives. The one on the left, however, is a special one. It is from seed stock that I personally brought back from a little island known as Jamaica. If you look at the one picture, you can see how fat the leaves are. I grew one up outdoors a year ago, and it literally ozzed resin when you cracked open a bud.
I am going to try and keep these plants as short as possible. I have already topped the sativa one. I want the jamaican one to catch up as I started it about 1 week after the other one. Anyways, this will be my new grow journal for my Jamaican and Sativa #2.
