Grow Journal - Grow #3 Tangerine Dream CFL feedback/ advice needed

Hey guys,

As always, this is my #1 place for any grow advice and would like to get some of your opinions.

I have chose to grow again with my CFL setup I did my first grow with, didn't go too well but, I smoked what I produced. And it got me very high. Good. Even though I didn't have much, it was my first ever grow.
My second grow died after a light decided to fall on it. My fault.
This is my 3rd grow. I am growing as follows :-
Seed - Barney's Farm Tangerine Dream x 1 Germinating.
Medium - NEED HELP HERE - I have Canna Coco and the A+B nutrients. But I haven't got a clue how to grow with them.
Space - I haven't got much space. I mean I have quite little space. But my pot is fairly large. As you'll see in the images. I wonder if it is possible to get a good fairly high yeild off the space I have.
Lighting - ~370W of CFL's broken up int 5 x 30W 8 x 20W and 5 x 15 W I will arange tthe lights so I have all round lighting so the smaller Cola's get their fair share.
The reason I am using my CFL's and not my HPS/MH is because recently many choppers are scanning the area's for excessive heat. And keeping it in my Bedroom is fine as the heat is in a used bedroom. So not as bad.

I would appreciate advice on the following:- Growing with Canna Coco e.g. using the nutes etc.
And Should I LST my plants? and Scrog? I don't want to top it this time round.

Just thought i'd say if you guys honestly think I would be best off with ordinary potting soil, tell me since I don't think my experience is enough to be using Coco. But I had so many problems last time I just want a successful nice grow. As we all do. Please help me!

Just thought I'd add i'll be using Aquarium water at pH 6.5 I hope. I haven't got a pH meter so i'll just hope for the best xD

man.. im saying coco is the way to go .. its simple and u can use it like soil forreal and the rootstructures of your plant gets alot bigger therefor bigger roots bigger plant bigger bud.. that should be plenty of roo, just make sure u have good air circulation on the coco so no mold or anything starts to grow.. im using coco and hydroton 3to 1 ratio in 3 gallon plastic bags.. and my plants fkn love it.. dont be afraid to try out the box.. weed is weed u water it feed it and forget it.. let it do its thing..

Thanks bro! Rep+. I have another quick question if you can assist me. Basically as most potting soils have a few week of nutrients and the Coco doesn't, how would I prepare the Coco for the seedling?

Your seedlings will do alright with just watr for about a month or so addsum diluted nute formula probably about 2ml a galon tangerine dream is a real good yielder but its a z70+day flowering

Time isn't much of an issue. When I have finish vegging this for 2-3 weeks or so, I'll start another seed on at 12/12 from flower just to try it out. I am hoping for a good smoke, my last grow wasn't the best so let's hope I can do it properly. My seed is germinated, so I'm gonna pot her and leave her on my desk with a 30W light until she comes out the soil

yeah make sure u put mycos of some sort it works fkn amazing in coco roots jus go crazy and helps with nute uptake.. i like to wait til it has its 3rd set of leaves then 1/4 strength nutes and a mycos drench about everythree weeks

Pardon my idiocy. Mycos? never heard of that, any chance of an elaboration? Yeah I was going to start nutes from around then. but I'm fairly broke, but I have all my main stuff I need. I'm using fishtank water, and all I have is Canna A + B and some biobizz grow and bloom from my previous grow which turned out to be quite shit tbh. xD

Doing some research I found Mykos from Xtreme gardening? Unfortunatley it's hardly available in my country :/ I wanted some Azos but I had the same problem!

She's just popped out the soil this morning. I've got her under 45W CFL on my desk. Weathers quite nice so I don't need a box for her atm. Just feeding her stale water. I would take a picture but it's not so easy to see. Will probably post one up tomorrow.

Ordered some Mykos. Managed to find a company that sells it in my country. Should be here by Monday. Probably be repotting by then into a new grow cab I'm planning on building over the weekend.

Quick update. 2 days from germination. She's out the soil now. Looking all good at the minute.

Update for day 3

Sup guys.. I just watered my plant with Ph'd water of 6.5. The run off is coming out at 5.5. Is that okay? or should I increase the source pH?

Run off is now 6.1 so it's looking okay. Slightly concered with this though as you can see in the image. But hoping the plant will sort itself out

She's doing fine now. Them leaves have pushed themselves out. she's still a little bent but it shouldn't be an issue

Quick update Day 6. Looking all good so far

Day 7 - Noticed how the leaves are purple at the bottom and the new leaves are slightly purple. Is this okay??

For day 9 I was astonished to see how rootbound the little plant was. It had already reached the bottom of my container. I did use Mycos aswell, so I guess that's helped a lot. I just repotted. Still working on my new grow box. Will upload pictures soon.. And will someone please tell me why no one is posting on my thread? I haven't really had much support this time round and would still appreciate it people would help me I will post new pictures later as its 2:30am xD
