I have found a HPS bulb and ballast. Its 150W but non the less would be better than them CFLs. Regardless of colour temperature, it will do a good job. I just need to know how far to keep my plant from the lights?

That plant is still extremely young, so i wouldnt put the bulb too close. You run a high risk of giving it heat stress which will stunt its growth. I've never used an HPS with such a low wattage, but with my 400 HPS I tried to keep it the very least about 20 inches away from young seedlings. You can probably get closer with a 150. Once the plant starts to get more established and grows another node or two you can gradually move the light down and see how it reacts

Thanks for that, I've also found a 400W HPS ballast and a 400W MH Ballast. Picked em up for practically nothing. Ordered the MH bulb in for Veg so I should get a lot more out of this plant than I expect. I will post pictures of the new grow box very very soon, stay posted guys!

Heres the new cab guys. Should be ready for the 400W MH soon, Might need to get a couple more big PC fans since I'm hitting 30.5 degrees C with 1 150W HPS and a big ass fan. I'll sort it. ANd I have chosen to raise my plants instead since the hanging method wasn't too good. I am using a Flood light casing as a reflector. I keep it cheap and hopefully successful too. Will update pics in a day or two since we'll see more change and it feels better to see xD

She seems to love the HPS! She's growing a lot faster I think xD
I have just watered my plants today, running out of fish tank water!! 400W Metal Halide should be here tomorrow so that's going straight in. Hopefully we'll see a big difference in Veg.

Also I just prepared my last bottle of fish water with 1.2ml Canna A to 1L water. Is that okay? Would my plant suffer? I know it stated 4ml to 1L (40ml to 10L) but I just thought it could be okay? I haven't watered her with it yet but I will be in two days.

Here's some pictures of her today, what do you think? Everything looking okay to you guys?

Another quick update, 400MH is now in, just running it for 30 minutes or so and checking the temperatures!

Temperature is wayyyyyy too high hitting 36C! Need more ventilation but I also need to keep the noise down. I have one big fan blowing the plant and circulating air. I have a 120MM fan intake and 2 smaller fans outake on the top. Any suggestions?

Okay now I've give up with trying to save money. I'm buying a cooltube the second my money comes through from a cheque I cashed today! 150W Will have to do for the next week or so. :(

I have decided to do a scrog grow, I know I have enough Vertical space, but apparently, it will increase my yield as well? I just want have a good yeild at the best quality I can achieve. It won't let me change my main post so I thought I'd just say:

Sorry, I am not using CFL's any more. I think they're great, but I opted for 400W MH/HPS for veg/flower for increased yield and potency.
Decided to use the SCROG method of growing, So I will be vegging until I decided I have enough budsites for a good yield :)
Also, will I be okay with just using Canna A + B? I also have some Biobizz Grow and Bloom but I figured they probably are unnecessary. I have Molasses which I can use for flowering? I am also using Mykos so that should make a difference.

Also the scrog method. Is hard to find actual illustrations of whats going on, I have seen many guides but theres something I can't grasp about it. I think I am supposed to keep the vegetation under and against the screen? And keep doing so until I want to flower? Is that right? Lol
I know it's a bit early but you know, It's nice to know.

you want to screen the one plant? gonna be awhile...your going to have to Fim or top, not now but a little later...when its a bit bigger....then lst as new branches start to grow to get it trained to stay down, you will want her to fill out, not up... it will definitely need a bit of veg time before she is ready for a screen.

scrog is basically putting a screen over plant/s, over the top of canopy, and as they grow up through the screen you tie her back down filling in the gaps until its full. its just like Lst ;)

So you think I should just do the Uncle Bens 4-way top/lst method instead?
EDIT: Either that or I will just let her grow as she would.. I just don't want to sacrifice any possible extra bud I can possibly get.

if you want to hell yah!...those are great ways to get more top colas per plant even if you don't screen it...but its a tad early for that... let it grow a bit more...giving you time to decide on which technique want to go with. just have to have a goal and plan/work towards it.

I might just top her and LST a little.
If not, I was thinking of putting another plant in since I got the seeds, Maybe Kush Berry from Reserva Privada. GRRR last minute decisions! Initially I started of with a little shitty grow box. Didn't expect to build this big lol. I think 2 plants would be good.. Not sure though, don't wanna waste this electricity growing one plant when I can actually do two. Hmmm, temptations xD
