Grow Journal Question

Ok, so I am about to start my first grow and wanted to do a journal while doing it. I do not understand the difference between the grow journal section and grow journal discussion section. I see a lot of discussion in most grow journals. I think it would be a lot easier to do it all in the same thread. Is that what some people do or is it pretty strict? Can I just post the journal in the regular journal section and not make a discussion thread? Thanks ahead.

im not exactly sure of what you mean.. but if you just mean you want to do a journal and not have a bunch of others chiming in and discusing things, than yes, you can easily do this.. just in your first post, just put this is a closed journal, and you would appreciate it if others would refrain from posting any comments within your grow journal..

The way I understand it is that this forum is strictly for the posting and progression of journals only infor and pictures should be shared by the ORIGINAL POSTER No one should be posting things like "hey nice grow"or questions like "what nutes are you using?" etc. That is for the discussion section where you can make a thread directed/dedicated to one's journal addressing all inquiries and information that was left out.

Strangers always jump in and muddle up/de-rail journals, it's an attempt to keep things tight and organized.

Yea, that's what I thought it was for, to help keep the journal itself clean of comments. The thing with me is I would much rather have them post in my journal instead of having to have two threads for the same grow and have people posting in the discussion thread instead of the regular thread. I see a lot of comments from others in the regular grow journal threads so it looks like people are doing this anyway. My question was basically do you have to have a discussion thread too to allow discussion about your grow or can you just opt to only have the grow journal thread and have people posting discussion and questions/comments/etc. in the journal itself. Just trying to make it so I do not have to put updates in so many different places. This is how all the other forums I have seen do it so was how I was planning since I will be posting the grow journal here at RIU and another forum site too since it is my first grow and I will have lots of questions. yah, i have a grow journal going now, and in my first post i just put that anyone is welcome to comment or ask all the ?;s that they would like there in the journal... i agree, it just makes life easier that way..
