Need to switch back to led for the summer, looking at both lights right now in a 4x4 but that’s also going up a size. Both fit my budget pretty well and have nice par maps, only reason I’m under cmh now is my house burned down l last Xmas and well my lights were in it(fire not grow related)who's got some flower under them they can show me

well the grow light science 1800 has a Average PPFD = 777 umol/m2/s in a 5x5 grow area according to manufacturer. and the volt fl1 has
  • Avg PPFD (5’x5’ Area): 939 μmol/m^2*s
fl1 uses 720 watts and the grow light science 1800 uses 673 watts.
  • if both lights are around the same price i would buy the fl1 it seems like it would produce a bigger harvest! i know you said you were gonna use it in a 4x4 but i would still go with a FL1.
  • also you said whos got some flower under them they can show me both lights dont have any real UV and both lights dont have any real IR so imo both lights will probably produce the same type of bud lol
also how do you like CMH? hows the bud quality? hows the yields?

Buds fire, yields decent just puts out way too much heat for summer. Was planning on getting the mars or sf uv bars to go with the led.
omegaw man that picture of the dry nug has me drooling it looks so fire!!!!!

well the spiderfarmer uses 30 watts and only produces UV while the mars hydro uses 45 watts and produces UV and IR so if it was me i would go with the mars hydro ones.
your CMH setup looks killer! i didnt know they had CMH in double ended! what spectrum bulb u rock? 3k?

In our experience you can keep CMH plants a few degrees hotter than your HPS plants without damage; CMH has less IR heating the plant. LED plants do really well between 81-84F.

Could not find spectral distribution on GLS1800 light. Have any UV or far red (740nm) ? # od diodes of each type ? Samsung diodes?

I had a mars fce4800 and samphon480 in my 8x4 before the fire, but prices on these high power fixtures have come down like crazy. I don’t run co2, unless sleeping in the same room as the tent during lights on counts:weed: GLS claims on the website to only use %1 far red to keep stretch down I just kinda like that the spectrum looks warmer than the voltsIMG_9441.jpeg

Thanks.. Do you show what diodes are in the Volt FL-1 ?

Love the 120 day return policy at GLS. I bought a Progrow320 last summer & glad I did. Can't vouch for this year's product line.
