Grow room Electrical Help!

I am in the process of setting up my garden and I would like to save 25 amps but most of my breakers are 15 so I decided a plan A but for my plan B, if I had to use my 50 amp breaker that connects to the 40A kitchen range, do they have adapters or how to people usually go about using bigger breakers for your garden? Most of my electronics will have standard plugs really all of them so how can I get the 40A range outlet 3 prong to convert to to standard outlet? Any input is appreciated

The simple answer to the 50a range question is No. Not if you still want to use the range. Are there any blank spots in the breaker box. If not you can replace 2 of the regular size breakers with one mini and free up space. Then you can install a 20a breaker and run 12ga wire to a receptacle near the grow area. That may be easy or hard depending on where the breaker box is in relation to the grow area. If you really need 25a with all the equipment running full on then I would consider installing a sub panel. Either way, judging from your initial post, have an electrician do it.

I second the above. Just find an electrician friend and buy him some beer and pizza. Don’t cheap out. You clearly do not have a good grasp of electrical so just get someone to do it for you

As Merlin1147 stated, you can not use your range CB, that is out of the question.
You will need at least one 15 amp circuit (20 amp better) for your lights.
Don't fuck around with electricity unless you really know what your doing, so as mentioned above get a friend who knows what their doing, or call an electrician.

Okay just because I know what it feels like to not want “friends@ or electricians around my grow I’ll try to give some advice. But you got to answer some questions.
1. What is the equipment you are trying to run?
2. Are you still trying to use the electric range?
3. Have you ever wired anything before?
4. Is it an option for an electrician to come in and do work (like if your legal call one)?
5. Any empty spots in your breaker panel at all?

First off your talkin 50 amps, do you need that much, and if so do you have it available? Is your main panel 200 amps?

Maybe it will help to just explain what I did. I went 50 amp breaker in main box. 6 gauge wire between that breaker and sub panel. In the sub panel I have two 30 amp breaker for lights and one 20amp breaker for the mini and then some 15 amp 120 for other various things.

As far as plugs go On the lights I cut the ends off of the cords and hardwired them in a 4x4 electric box. I have two 1000 watt gavitas on each 30 amp breaker.

Also I didn’t learn to do this on my own my ac guy showed me how to wire up one set while was here and I did the rest. I found my ac guy thru a local hydro shop and a friend that works there vouched for him. If you don’t know anybody and are afraid to ask friends maybe try asking your hydro shop if you don’t feel comfortable.

Also if it’s jsut your lights that your need to power a super easy option is just to buy a lighting controller run the appropriate size wire And breaker and your done.
