Grow Room Fire Extinguisher

Bought one of these off Ebay today. About 60 bucks. I grow in my home so this just seemed like common sense. Some electrical problem down there and the fire department has to come then the cops would come too. Almost 100% positive that my insurance would not handle a fire claim if I'm growing ganja indoors. 60 bucks seemed like a small price to pay for a little peace of mind. Sucker will blast off if the temps get above 159 degrees. My ladies will be toast by then so spray her down if she gets that high. Just an FYI that some others might want to think about.

I have my ballasts on a 1/8" Steel Plate, but was thinking about getting one of those for the added peace of mind as well

60 bucks R2F. Man it just seems like the right thing to do. If something does go south and I've done everything I can to minimize it then so be it. But if it goes south and I could have had one of these. I'll still be making the mortgage payment with no place to live.

my ballasts are stand-off mounted to an 1/8th inche steel plate that is folded along the edges so it sits 1/2" of off the backboard:


also use thermal override switches that kill lights for 15mins if temps exceed the setpoint, and also have heat detectors and smoke detectors that do the same thing, as well as sound the alarm.

reminds me of a telegraph machine ..or something special forces wired up to blow a wall down .. nice precaution

Safety plan and a backup Iam, good job. Growing is fun as hell but family first, any and all precautions I would look at. Got surge protectors on all the AC stuff. Inline fuse on the fan. Any other safety stuff feel free to chine in.
