grow room idea? crazy output

With 2 1000's you're probably gonna want some cool tubes. You're also going to want to check your electrical system. 2000W is to much to pull thru a 15 amp circuit.

as for the amps, good point i wouldnt have even thought of that. good thing i got a multi meter layin around somewhere. and ill have to buy some cooltubes and stuff. wich kinda leads me to my next question. How far away should i put the plants from the light when doin a verticle grow?

With cool tubes you can get them pretty close. Keep in mind if you're cooling them with air from inside the grow room you're defeating the purpose. You need to get cool air from outside the grow room and exhaust it outside the grow room. That means seperate ducting for the cool tubes but it will make a world of difference.

well really how close do you want to get them cause the closer you get the more surface area your losing out on.

Surface area isn't everything. Light diminishes to the square of the distance from the source. It fades very quickly so the closer the lights are the more INTENSE the light is. This is more important than surface area because you'll be giving yourself bigger, tighter buds.

Also, the point of a vertical grow is to maximize the surface area AROUND the bulb so it shouldn't really be an issue.
