Grow Room/Tent Design Need Help

Hello I am looking to start a new grow room capable of fitting about 5-10 plants, the only problem is i have no idea where to begin. I will be using 1000w hps bulbs probably 2 or 3 in cool tubes is that enough to accomadate for 5-10 plants? Also i need a reflective surface to house it all in what size tent would i need to fit these? I also need a way to regulate the temp so it doesnt get to hot or cold. Basically i need some help designing the whole thing all i have is 1000w hps bulbs and i can make cool tubes if needed. please help me im trying to make the conversion to indoor from outdoor to get a higher yeild (Not very good outdoor conditions here).

Holly holly you got some reading to do. Use drywall and 2x4's to wall in and area gonna need to be pretty big for 3000watts as for how many plants I know people who veg for 2 months and do one giant tree and then I know people who do 80 little clones strait into flower under a 1000. The more plants the better the yield, but you can get a pound outa one giant tree under a 1000 or 2 pounds from 40 plants vegged two weeks very strain and style dependent. As for temps your gonna need an max min temp and humidity thermometer and some vortex fans or similar to vent your light and you room. For example I use a 15x12 room with 2 1000w lights with an intake vortex fan at half speed and another vortex at full speed venting my room and my lights got the carbon filter on the end of my daystar reflectors so it suck air out of my room and through my lights for venting the room and cooling the lights. I'll run a third light as soon as it gets a little colder real important to watch your temps and humidity, buy the medical marijuana bible and read a lot on this site. p.s. insulate those walls you put up, tents suck.

So how much room would i need for like 20 clones if strain matters its Armageddon Feminized from Attitude Seeds.

You could get them in a 4x4 but that's gonna be tight if you don't train them. I think 5x5 is a reasonable size, anything bigger is a bonus. You wouldn't need more than 2 1000watters. You generally want either 40-50 watts per sq foot or 100 watts per plant than 50 watts for each additional. In a 5x5 you have 25 sq feet of grow space and 2000watts for coverage. Now do the math 25 sq x 50 watts =1250 watts. For your 20 clones(1st 100watts each additional 50)=1050 so you really only need between 1050 and 1250 watts. One 1000watt on a light mover would be a minimum. Hope that helps!

just go to home depot and get a roll of black plastic. or white. its like 15 bucks fro the roll. 100x20. you can just hang it floor to ceiling and it will allow you to open the area up and air it out. i found it usefull to section off 2 areas for flower and grow and i have had no problems using 1 1000 w light on a few plants. i use 5 gallon bucks in a dwc. i also tie my plants to the lip of the bucket kind of a sog type deal. it works for me. one of these days i will post pictures of it but i am not that photo type of guy

I'd run two 1000 in a 6x12 area it will help with heat. Use mylar for good reflectivity and leave space for an A/C the kind with and intake and an out take hose so the exhaust won't smell. You'll have more temp problems with black plastic walls. Trust me as the seasons change so do your temps even in an insulated room. I do the black plastic thing for a little veg area and it works great but it only has a 250 mh running in it. But if your low on cash black plastic will work for your fist run. It's best to get everything you need all at once cause fucking sucks ass to have shit go wrong at week 5 or 6 flowering(from heat or cold), hell I just cut 5 down today cause I was running a new strain just a few and they all hermied so to the trash with those traders. Get an easy stable strain for your first run.

So what I need is 2 1000watt, mylar and a ac system? where can I get mylar and do you have a recomendation for the ac?

Danby premier lowes carrys them for the ac you can get mylar on ebay. You could run just one if you like, but if your only running 10 plants to a light I'd use two and you should get a pound from each light. If you stager it you could get a pound a month but you would need a seperate room with a 400watt mh for veg.

Im looking to get about 10+ pounds for next year i cleared a huge spot out in the woods that shouldhold at least 50 plants then theres a green house out there for clones. For the indoors its the highest grade shit i could get, so im getting 10 mothers and try to get like 20 clones if all goes well
