I stopped into my local hydro shop and saw the price tag on the tents and can't afford that. The guy there said that I could use Foam insulation that has a reflective exterior. What are your thoughts on this? It would end up costing like $20 to build and therefore much more affordable.

I'm not to worried about heat as I have a 48" shop light with Gro-lux bulbs. They don't get hot at all, I can keep my hand on the bulb even after it has been on for hours.

Sounds good. Lowes or Home depot sell sheets of reflective foam insulation for about $9 for a 8'x4' section. We are actually going to be using that for our attic grow... They differ in thickness and are very lightweight.

Well I could always do CFL's, I know many people around here prefer HPS, but not affordable. I've seen GRO-LUX lights that are in both the blue spectrum, which is what I have now, and also in the red spectrum for flowering. Does anyone think the red spectrum ones would work?
