grow set up.. what ya think...

im going 2 divide my room into 2 sections one of mother/clones and one for my flowering room


im going 2 use -2 Hortilux Super HPS Enhanced Spectrum Bulb, 600W (has anyone ever used gavita bulbs was thinking of getting these instead but wasnt sure)

with Radiant 6" Air Cool Reflector by hyrdo farm

dont know to much about ballist but i figured these would be good...

Lumatek 600W 120V HPS Elect Ballast

basically my only few questions are

-how many flouresnts and what kind should i get for 4 mother plants and 16-20 clones.....

-how big of a room should i make for for the 16 plants(will have mylar or foylon walls havent decided) so i want 2 make sure the reflected light is getting the plants but i still want room for them 2 grow big....

- and i cant figure out what size intake/outtake fan 2 get and carbon filter for the room....


and i guess ill tell u my whole goal if it helps....

i want a 16 plant room im going 2 go pick up 4 strains from a seed shop.... keep 4 mother plants for cloning and keep a cycle of harvest every 2 months or so... hopefully with a harvest of 7-8p's(how realistic is this?)


i know alot of ppl may read this and see im a 1st time grower but iv done ALOT of research easily over 50hours of late at night web surfing and countless books and videos....


im by no far rich i just am very passionate about growing and this is the 1st time im going 2 be able 2 so i want 2 do it right...

i went 2 a grow website and added everything i need from rockwell cubess, clonex.. everything and the total is about $1700....

any suggestions and tips b4 i order will be greatly appricated i want 2 get this right

i definetly want to know how this goes... 7-8 pounds is my goal also... id even be pleased with atleast 5 every two months..... more then enough to stock away support my club and recieve my kudos..... are you planning to do a soil or hydroponics... cause from what ive been reading... hydroponics would prolly the most probable for a yield of that nature...

nah im going organic... i love the good taste and smell of bud and i think organic will give me it better...

also 8's isnt just for me....

i was going 2 use 1-2 for hash/brownies/experimental 2-3 for personal and 3-5 for g/f close friends... im just sick of people not drying there shit out cuz they want 2 make a extra $ and ppl bringing swag ass nasty shit around trying 2 say its FLAME!!


also was wondering while i took a shower... for 16 plants would 2 600w or 2 400w be better?

i heard 400w dont give it enough umph... and you wont get buds as big as you would using a 600W.. supposedly the 400W doesnt penetrate as good as the 600W... so even 1000W would be better to get juicer lookin buds...

Your on the right page...just keep going with the way your going. Seems like you know what your doing. You and me are on the same boat but I only have the tent for veg/flowering for now.

I bought the Gavita bulb which advertise that they dont give off much heat but I think they still do. It has a reflective coating on the top half to reflect light claiming you dont need the hood or air cooled tubes. Which YOU DO for the fact that the heat is still an issue. That way you can place the light close as possible.

Excuse me, I'm too baked as of right now.

i would say with 2x 600w lights, you would get about 2 lbs... more is possible, but not in the 7-8 lbs range.

2? i was thinking atleast a qp per plant i mean 2 600w is going 2 have them well over 5000lum's a plant + will all be in 10 gallon buckets with mylar walls good soil and nutrients

also one of the strains will be "big bud"


also i was thinking of maby adding more plants seeing as 2 600w give out 176,000 lums..... 176,000/5000(lum per plant)=35

i dont want 35 plants but maby 25?

no sir. The rule of thumb is about a pound per 600w light.
