Grow Setup, Need a Second Look

Hey everyone I am back,

Due to certain demands, I am going to have to quit toking for awhile. Sad right? It won't be a long time.

Since I won't be buying bud I'll finally have spare money for my grow setup.

This is what I want to do:
12 - 12 from seed, keeping plants short
Setup a cycle to harvest a plant on a regular basis
Grow Hydroponicly

I got an area in my closest I'm using now, it's nice and tall hitting around 7 to 8 feet, the problem is that its kind of small, thinking its between 2 by 2 and 3 by 3 on the bottom. I want to try to fit as many as I can but off the top of my head four small hydro bubble buckets.

I'm debating on going with HPS or buying more CFL, due to lack of ventalation. I have CFLs I can use with the HPS if needed, just dont know if I should continue CFLs or move to HPS

If you could give me ideas of what you would do for what I need, feel free to let me know. Im working on my own plan right now but would love to compare mine to experienced growers.

Get the HPS, it will be well worth your while. Run a decent fan with that and you should have no problems with a 400 watter with that tall of a space.

Alright thanks. I figured I'd probably get the HPS anyways because I'll have to get some sooner or later.

Got any ideas of how I could harvest at least like 2 or 3 oz a month in that small area? I was think maybe 4 bubble buckets or an aeroponic system with 4 plants around 3/4 of an oz each??

Yeah, to harvest every month you'd need to do an SOG type set-up. but if you can grow 4 plants you should easily be able pull that every harvest if you know a little bit about growing and you have a good strain. Decent growers pull 1-3 ozs a plant good growers even more.

It might take you a try or two to get the 2-3oz/month you want but it's totally possible. I just harvested some plants grown in DWC 12/12 from seed and def got over an oz/plant from them on average.
You definitely want the 400W HPS for those yields though. You are better off starting all the buckets at the same time so a monthly harvest won't work well because the new plants would always be shaded by the older ones.
The DWC system is cheaper to build than an LPA system and still performs really well.

I got some experience with growing, I'm going to college right now for Horticulture so that is helping a ton.

I was looking into DWC at first, but then figured if I was using 5 gallon buckets I would have less plant space. Since I'm planning on doing 12 12 from seed to keep em small I figured I could get away with maybe four 2 gallon buckets all connected to the same airpump.

I am just aiming to have a half an oz every week and that'll satisfy what I need.

I think after you get that HPS you will be just fine with that goal. Totally realistic, especially after you get back into growing again.
