Hello there new here hoping I can get some help at the moment running a 250w HPS but upgrading soon into a new space of 4ft x 3ft and 8ft high do you think this is an okay space for a 400w Hps without heat issues? Thanks

what kind of hood? vents? fans? are you going to flower in there only or veg, and flower in same box.

Mike was going to be a standard euro wing hood with a 4" extractor and two 6 inch oscillating fans and yes both veg and flower in there but thinking maybe cfl for veg

i veg. with a 400 hid and it works good. if i was you i would make another box and put your 250 hid in there for veg. if you cant do then then veg with the 400

Yea I can do you think starting them under 125w cfl for first two weeks, then 250w HPS then flower under 400w?

sounds good. i run 125clf to 400 to 1000. when you increase the light in stages like that it better mimics the natural light cycle.
