Hey all. first timer here and I gotta say it's pretty exciting watching my babies go from seedlings to plants. I have read soooo many posts and threads on just about every forum on the web and its really been hard what to make of it all. From what ive gathered it's really all trial and error and patience.
Now here's my situation. I have 4 joint dr. Auto flower low Ryders going under a 400w hps in2'7x2'7x5 grow tent with a 6in inline fan attached to a fresh filter running thru the hps and out thru the inline which is sitting on top of the tent which is in my closet. the set up is quite clutch if I do say so myself. (pictures to come)
Now to let you know what I've been doing. I popped my cracked seedlings into soil on 4/15/2012 they sprouted 4/20-4/21/2012. I am using happy frog soil in 3 gallon pots and have just been using distilled water with a PH of 6.4-6.5, my humidity is at 25% temp is steady at 85 degrees. I occassionally do a mist in the tent and i have 2 clip on fans mounted to the sides blowing down and keeping the air circulating. i water so all soil is moist and i dont let it run off more than 10%. i made it thru the germination stage and actually have some foliage. I will be utilizing the 18/6 routine thru out. 1 of the diesel Ryders shot up 3 inches in one day like it was stretching for the light. So I topped off the pot with more soil and it seemed fine. Now all my girls are growing. None of them are stunted, shocked or have mold. The leaves are curling and turning yellow on a couple of them. It started as a yellow spot which looked like nute burn. How can there be nute burn if I'm only using water? Can the soil be too strong? Should I be giving them nutes now? Or should I not ? Should I use something else besides distilled water? Is my ph wrong? Also I am starting to notice that the leaves are a very lite green I'm pretty sure there is definitely a deficiency of some sort? How do I tell? What can I do to solve this issue. PLEASE HELP.
