Grow Tent

Hey there where bouts in aus are you? I actually looked at that exact ad last week along with many different options for a similar situation to yours, let me ask one question- can you cut and glue/use tape? Make a trip to your local hardware, my choice was bunnings, grab some 2 inch pvc, not high pressure plumbing pvc, this will blow your cost out but the telstra conduit, grey white or orange bout 5 bucks for 4lm, bargain! I'm building a 3w x 2d x 2.2h tent so i needed 13 lengths-$65. Now you'll need 8 3way corners, bout $15, few t pieces, some fat zip ties, black and white poly tape and pvc glue. I managed to build a slightly 'flimsier' structure as a can hang 6 points from the tents roof panel to the roof of the shed it's in, this is steel and will carry all the weight, lights, fan, filter etc. Go grab some thick panda film, i needed about $60 worth to wrap my frame, plan this bit, pull the panda tight and use the zip ties and a pair of scissors to secure it one panel at a time, overlapping slightly all the way round. Once that's done i folded all the edges and with careful and liberal use of the black poly tape sealed it up airtight. I grabbed a proper panda zip for $50 and installed it in the best spot now, cut the hole careful, reinforce outside with black, inside with white tape and go to work on the inside, creating 'corniceing' all round the pvc with the white tape leaving rounded inner edges everywhere. I chose to break my tent in half (2x1.5)x2, 600watts each, to run side by side tests, different lights etc. Will be making a smaller one for my t5's to veg with creating a 3 room perpetual. All these will grand total under $300, made to size and i can put my vents etc wherever i want, seal up with tape and your done. I'm running two cooled hoods ducted straight up to a y piece, 200ml can fan and filter, keeps temps perfect so far. I would still love a professionally made tent, a big one lol, but this thing is doing everything one i could have bought for 4x the cost and not had the ideal size n shape

This is the one i went with http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HYDROPONICS-SUPER-DELUXE-2-8m-x-1-4m-x-2m-GROW-TENT-/220805918109?pt=AU_Seed_Starting_Hydroponics&hash=item33690eed9d#ht_3397wt_1059

Edit: i haven't actually bought it yet will on Tuesday if i can find a better tent i will buy it

How big are the northern lights auto's supposed to get? Personally i think you'd need half that space and one 600 at the most for 5 auto's, i have two in my veg cupboard along with several small bushes under one 600 and i could fit about another 6 in there if i really wanted, however you have plenty of space to expand your grow to more auto's or a few photo period plants. If i was you i'd grab some cool tubes with reflectors- fairly cheap at around 70-100 each, hang the 600 in the very middle, one 400 to either side, link all the tubes up with some ducting and vent in/out through a fan, you'll need a seperate fan for your filter unless you get a y splitter and a slightly larger fan. I was going to have one hps in the middle with the smaller mh to the sides for an even spread. Hope that helps and congrats on your sprouts!

Not sure how big they get man this is the only info they have bought them from Nirvana

Northern Light is a marijuana strain which is highly suited to indoor growing. Of course, this auto-flowering version is also perfect for outdoors. Nearly all promising modern indoor cannabis strains contain Northern Light genes. With its high flower-to-leaf ratio, compact buds, good yields and exceptional resin production, these wonderful marijuana seeds are a most lucrative choice for the professional cannabis grower. The smoke's flavour is somewhat neutral, yet full-bodied.

Indica / Sativa: Hybrid
Plant type: Indoor as well as Outdoor
Plant height: Short

Ok i suggested making stuff yourself before but you against rigging up some poly pipe and a pump? Outside of that get an autopot system, gravity fed and once you get them down you can really produce with them. Not too much either, will be plenty for your auto's, as will your lights, i'd personally crowd them under the 600 for now unless you get some regular strains, bout one plant per 100 watts considering your size constraints and the max plant size, if you can manage to fit 10 autopots in there and keep the growth under control, for ease half the numbers unless your running purely auto's then you can fit about as many in there as you can 10-15l pots minimum for auto's, but 100 watts each for an auto seems a waste to me considering the average yield is under 40 grams and with most good growers pulling minimum 1.5 grams per watt just seems like more than is needed to me? All depends on what your future plans are
