i got a 1000 w MH light with a 6 " closed reflector. i havent got my tent yet but i had the light on testing it with a thermometer and humidity gauge and in the basement where its 63-65 deg. with out the tent and the exhaust fan and a oscillating fan and the temp where the plants are going to be is at almost 85 deg. im thinking when i get the tent its going to be even hotter. how to i cool it down. iv tried raising the light but it stays hot.

1000w will be to hot for that without some sort of cooling going on.. my tent is the same as yours but 2 feet shorter, i run a 600w with 200cfm exhaust fan and if the ac isnt on outside the room then it will get to hot. My temps stay at about 82 with the lights on and decent temps outside the tent so you would need the outside of your tent to be freezing and a strong fan blowing air in lol

1000 is gonna be about 90*. im in a 4x4x7 tent w/ac tube, 600w, 6" 440 cfm fan cool tube fan, 420 cfm intake, 420 cfm exhaust, 3 5" clip type, and one 18" fan blowing across the bottom of the cool tube, all in a basement grow and im hitting 81/82*. I cant get any cooler. good luck, but that 1000 watter is not gonna work. 1, too small of a tent, 2 gonna need ac to keep cool, plus duct work.

Get a 5x5 tent for a 1000 water
in a 5x5 tent with a 1000w....youll run about 10* hotter than ambient temperature ...600w about 8*
my room temp is 63*... my veg tent is 73* with a 450 cfm filter fan venting out a window...open 4ft parabolic hood
Don't just vent the tent into the basement ...vent the hot air from the tent the outside
