Gonna jump your bones again here mate so don't get all pissy....it aint personal.

Let me explain a bit better what I purchased. I have 2 "pro" models of SJ tent. The DR300w and the DR120. They both use the better reflective/insulated lining. Like I said previously they cost me $1000.

They DO have steel poles. The DR120 is almost 4' x 4' and uses one pole for a cross connection. It is quite strong but there is no way I can hang a can filter 33 from it. A can filter 33 is only 25 pounds. The tent does hold other things quite well but not safely over 15 pounds. It holds a can filter 2600 quite easily, maybe even a 9000.

The DR300w, which is almost 5' x 10', uses 2 poles to make a cross connection. You can't hang anything safely over 10 pounds on those things. I was very surprised at how cheaply they were made.

It sunk down 10 inches when I tried to hang a can filter 9000 and 4" can fan from the side bars. My friend has the Homebox xxl and he can hang from the one of the side poles.
ha its all good m8 unless we all say our piece we'll never get to the bottom of this i was in a bad mood anyway so prob lookin for an argument sorry m8

no they are more on the heavy side i havent read how much they can hold so i really couldnt say but its a shame that home box doesnt work woth my size requirements i need one 24-35 in wide and 44-56 inches long
Yeah, I'm interested in the Silver Sun Hut too. They say no plant toxicity issues guaranteed. The Home Box sounds good but they use UPS to ship to Canada which means you pay some ridiculous amount for a customs brokerage fee ($100+).

Yeah customs is a bitch in Canada, but the homebox works great.

Apparently the tents with the mylar liner are not toxic. Took about 3 grows in mine (white liner) before it stopped fucking half killing my plants and that god aweful smell disappeared. It used to be strongest when I had the lights off.

What kind of tent was it?

A GrowLush with the plastic liner.

I figured it was the tent on the third lot I put through it, by doing a parallel bud in my back shed. That pretty much eliminated human error, nutrient, soil and pH issues and my only other possible deduction I could make was the tent.

After Googling +"Grow tent" +toxic it confirmed it to me that it was the tent. However I was on grow 4 by then, and the smell had all but gone and the results were completely different.

I went for a drive to the store yesterday and sized up one of those mylar lined tents. The store dudes (different store) knew about the plastic toxic tents and promise that their mylar lined ones arent toxic and are certified as so.

Yeah as far as I know most of the toxic tents have all been recalled by any of the decent companies that are still around, but Im sure theres still a few floating around under different names.

Yeah, the one I bought was a Jumble tent off of Ebay and it's a plant killer :/

I couldn't find it on that buy the homebox site but there are a couple of places in Quebec that sell it so that would take care of the customs brokerage fees:

I built my own grow box/homebox for about a 10th of the price of buying one. Its now my vegging box.

Yeah I think the main reason for tents is you cant take it apart easily with no tools in about 2 minutes. Although if I owned my place I would definitely have built my own.

But for now my homebox works great for flowering, Ill probably use it for a veg room once I get a bigger place.
