So im no stranger to being broke, one golden rule i follow is.... cut off the hands that feed
hands that feed, are people or companies that put their hands out and ask you for money regularly, netflicks, water rates, internet, power bills, etc..
some of which you need some you dont.
next step is to start saving even just 20 bucks a f/n, in an account that is separate to your usual account, i do 200 a month min, but just start low and build up so your not taking it out all the time,
the trick is once you get a bit of money in there, not to buy stuff with it, its weird, you got money now, but at the same time you have to forget you have it, i tell my self instead of buying the usual crap that i can afford on a budget, to hold out keep saving and get something bigger and better later,
it funny how money works, if you never plant the seed with the first 20 bucks and water it every so often with more savings it wont grow, into a big tree
sometimes when i transfer money in to savings, a little voice pops up saying you could go buy that thing you were looking at online instead of saving this money, but saving each f/n is like paying yourself a bonus, its just your brain is saying go do some retail therapy, instead of saving
