moisture control MGs has coco coir added to it to help with water retention, (not water polymers) so its safe to grow with.

It has about 3 months of time release osmocote fertz in it to go easy with the nutes for awhile.

I dont think it will grow em twice as big, but twice as long with out water is very accurate.

Im using it this year.

I am kinda old, so in my infinite wisdom (as a "New Grower" only two years) I decided to haul out peat moss to my sites instead of soil. Everywhere I went the bags of dirt, soil were wet and weight about a million pounds, the peat however was quite dry and very light. Well needles to say I have had to haul out five time more water to get it and keep it wet, oh man. Oh and had to add lime, because unknown to me at the time peat is very acid. So I guess the point I am trying to make is regardless keep up the experiments, newbies like me are desperate for any information they can get their hands on. As far as using Miracle Grow anything goes, I do try to stay away.:peace:

One thing that no one has mentioned. These are two different seeds. In order for it to be fair you would need clones from the same genetics.

yea i used MG Moisture Control for my grow.. and my plant grew huge.. it was like it was on steroids the whole time. lol. i got 3.15 ounces of her.. adn only vegged her for 3 weeks. and used only CFL's too. not sure if it was the MG soil.. or i just got lucky...My avatar is the plant that in talking about. shr grew huge for only a 3 week veg and 8 week flower... here's a link to the journal.

and my new journal is in my signature.. but this White Widow plant is growing just as big & fast.. and im using the MG soil again.. wish i had more space to do a test to compare it.. but i dont have the time/space/light to do that. but just had to throw my 2 cents in there. i've used it, and nver had a problem... and have had great results every time

nice. lemme kno how they grow. i recently traded a friend 1 super skunk seed for a ww seed. and im plannin on growing that for my next grow... soo im gonna start vegging them in like a week or so

aiight guys.. im here to root for the MG again.. i have always grown my plant sin MG moisture control... but i was starting White Widow for outdoors.. and didnt have any soil to use.. soo i had to use this stuff my mom bought from ocean state job lot.. New Era..? or sum shit like that.... anywayz. i used that stuff this time.. and i can look at the plant.. now that its been a week.. and i have compared it to other pics of my WW that came fm the same batch of seeds.. but was grown with MG moisture control.. and grown in the same size pots.... and i gotta say the MG does make a difference... unless for sum strange reason.. 3 WW seeds grew extra good.. and this 1 just happened to grow bad.. but idk... i think its the soil... deff.

yeaa i wish i coulda.. now that would be sumthing i would like to see! lol. but i dont got money to spend of foc farm soil.. that shit can get expensive!! MG is cheap. =) but i would love to see those 2 compared side by side!

to be honest... i think they would be pretty equal... if anything... maybe the fox farm would give a lil better results... but for double/triple the money... i would hope so! lol.

i would say... FOR THE PRICE... MG beats out all other soils... but thats just my opinon.. ive been using MG since my 1st grow.. adn had to use that other soil cuz i was completely broke.. adn the results SUCK! thats all i have ot go by.

fuckin miracle grow haters all over the place!! miracle grow is just as good as the expesive shit you buy believe me. ive bought all the expensive shit for sifferent stages of growth and water and fed accordingly everytime with them.....and then i used miracle and got the same results if noot better! im routin for ya man don't listen to the haters i been grwin myself since i was 13, miracle grow all the way! good luck on the grow my bro, im pretty sure i just started a fuckin war on your thread though and im sorry. peace brother.

Hmm. Im trying it out for a few plants this year. Used MG's Regular potting soil in the past and never had too bad of a problem with it.

im not trying 2 hate or put down in any way BUT if the bud finishes in three months and the mg has 3 months of ferts in it it gonna look like the 4th of july when u throw fire 2 it not to mention the high likelihood of ph problems :leaf:

ive been usin MG soil since i started growing.. andd have not had any problem with it at all.. and all my grows have been great.. got 3+ ounces dry off each WW plant... 2 1/2 from my super skunk... 2 1/2 from my blue venom.. lookin at 3-4 off my full moon that will be done in 3-4 more weeks.. click on my link.. or check out my other grows and see for myself

chb444220 I really need some advice dude! I'm using MG moisture control, growing with a mixture of CFL's and a 400 watt HPS on a 18/6 hour schedule. But my plant growth is slow as hell! It's been about 2 1/2 weeks and my biggest plant is only a 3rd of the size your week 1 Floja. What is your lighting schedule?
