[Growbox] Analyze my new setup

The bottom fan blows air in, the top fan blows air out.

In the picture with the black drainage grate, it is hard to see, but it is a small tub of water with a sock hanging into it for a humidity wick.

All walls/floor/ceiling are flat white.

(2) 26w CFL 2700k
(6) 26w CFL 6500k

I will put 4 more CFLs (two on each side) for peripheral lighting (side lighting) when the plants mature.

The temp (79.3 F) and humidity (30) pictured is on the soils surface (clamped to side of pot). It took me a while to get the temperature just right (adjusting fan speeds/positioning entire unit, adjusting room temp). I have tested it for lighting and I can get the temp down to 69.8 F. So, in the future, I can add a bunch more CFLs, or maybe a 200w HPS if you think it'd be possible... (obviously i'd expand the bottom to allow for more distance b/w hps and grown plants)

The hole in the top is so I can view the plants during the day without disturbing it's light. I also have a tube I can use for watering without disturbing the light. It can be covered with mylar if need be. See image of looking into hole.

Can't seem to get humidity past 30.

Any questions, improvements, comments?

Ok, turns out it wasn't overwatering. 24 hours after watering with nutes, my plant jumped up and has begun doing GREAT and has nearly doubled in leaf size.

Still looking for responses on my grow box, let me know!

gotta say, thats a cool grow box. nice and simple. the plants cant get big but that would be good for some 24/0 and some 12/12 until they get bigger...

home depot has them, but wal mart is about 5 bucks cheaper. These run about $7. They come with a clamp and a reflective dome. i took both of these off now that I made my box. The fans were both about 10 each, but I had them laying around. Look around the tools section for the lights. Didn't find any in the lighting section. They come with 15 foot cords too :)

The plants in the picture are on a stand (I could fit two more pots underneath them, but they'd get no light of course haha. I've got them elevated to get them closer to the light. The entire unit is 3 feet tall. I plan on expanding once they're bigger by using an idea brought up by someone else on this forum. I'm going to buy another tub for the bottom, cut it off halfway, then connect it to the bottom. This will give it another 1.5 feet or so to grow. There are also bigger tubs you can buy, but this is my first try so I'm going simple. You can use caulking and spackling putty to seal it. Good ol' gorilla snot haha.

10 bucks a pop at walmart. They work great, no problems. In fact with my setup I only need one running to propel the other. But, I use both just because it allows for more temperature adjustments.

Well, i wanted to see how easy it was with a box cutter instead of a big ol saw. It was very easy, just not as accurate haha. It's on a veg 18/6 (on at 6am off at midnight) = no chance to see light.

they are called "T" or "Y" dual outlets....go in any hardware store and go to lighting & elec. you should find them by the regular light bulbs

yea you should be good during veg, but when you set back to 12/12 duct tape would be a good friend to you, lot of room for leaks around those fans. and flower at 3 ft? wouldn't you be looking at a 6 ft or more final product?
