Growbox Build: Lighting advice needed

Hey everyone, first time grower here. I'm in the process of building my growbox and I need some help with lighting.

My box is 39" high x 34" wide x 16" deep and I'll be growing 3-4 plants. My question is if I use 4 x 105watt CFLs (these probably: 105 Watt Compact Fluorescent 5000K Full Spectrum CFL ) will I have adequate lighting? My math is more than a little shoddy, but this should be about 7300 lumens/square foot right? Any advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. kiss-ass

thats good for lighting. although. a 150 HPS would fit really nicely in those dimensions, even a 250 with adequate ventilation. you can always add cfls or tubes later. go with the HPS. you'll never go back to strictly cfl. for flower anyway.

and khujo, I'd like to use HPS lights but due to my situation I'm limited to strictly CFL here. Sucks I know but oh well

have you thought of leds? I just put my seedlings under a 250 watt equivelent panel.....my seedlings are going wild. This is my 4th grow 3rd with leds. I keep my light crouched right over my nebies and they are looking great. Im adding nutes in a few days.

This is intresting I would love to see pics and a grow journal. I was talking with HTG a supplier on ebay and he mentioned (i got rid of the e-mail) that they found led's to be good as a supplimental light.That they weren't good for a lighting source.

I'm not big into leds. I've seen a few grows with them and they all had less than stellar results plus cfls are going to be the cheapest/simplest setup for my box.
