Growbox Build: Lighting advice needed

Hey everyone, first time grower here. I'm in the process of building my growbox and I need some help with lighting.

My box is 39" high x 34" wide x 16" deep and I'll be growing 3-4 plants. My question is if I use 4 x 105watt CFLs (these probably: 105 Watt Compact Fluorescent 5000K Full Spectrum CFL ) will I have adequate lighting? My math is more than a little shoddy, but this should be about 7300 lumens/square foot right? I know that HPS lights would be more ideal, but I won't be able to vent the box well enough. Any advice/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. kiss-ass

Thanks, :peace: & :leaf:

yeah 400 watts should definatly be enough. You might wanna get a few smaller watt bulbs or a couple tubes for side lighting when the plants get big and fill out. But youre gonna want some kind of fan to pull air in and another to take air out. Even if its just the small 10$ desk fans from walmart.

Yeah I have no problem venting the box, I just can't handle the extra heat from hps. I won't be growing for about a month so I'll be starting a grow journal then. I plan on getting some fem AK-47 from a friend and growing them seed to flower in this box, until then I've got some bagseed growing in a little box i threw together with some 60w cfls.

And yeah I've been researching this for a while. Hope I don't screw it up :bigjoint:
