Its from htg and its only 120, 135 with shipping. if anyone has used this and likes it let me know if its good, the room is in my room so i dont want to be up all night with the exhuast running.

more info on room, its a 2x2x5.5 dr 60, running a 150w hps and a 135w led, i will be upgrading to either a 250w or a 400w, might just get the 250w and add the 150w. and basically have the same.

I visit my local HTG regularly and my rep there tells me that the 4in really doesnt do the job properly. He suggested a min of 6inch. I dunno, there job is to sell I know but the guy really seems to know his shit on every question I hit him with. I need to do it myself and since I'm not working right now I cant afford the 6 or 8 inch and I wont go with the 4, so I'll wait to I can get a 6.

I would say it depends on whether your going to use it for venting the room only or room and light.
I use a 4" to vent a 3x3x5 room only. It works great; almost too great at times.
If your adding a light to the flow a 6" might be a better option depending on the wattage and area to vent.

These at plantlighting should be comparable. Shipping might be your decider.

If your concerned about noise make sure to pick up a speed controller too.
Something like a speedster is fine though they make better ones if your willing to spend more.

i have a 2x2x5.5 dr 60, i think a 6in would be over kill with exhuast. and im only going to use it to vent to room, and i have an ac in whole house and with that how i have it set up i got a 4in duct booster rted at 240w, with the fan inside the tent, with ducting leading out to vent i plan on setting it up where the carbonfilter is the onlything haning in the tent then it runs to the ducting i could either addthe boosted in the middle of the duct or just not use it at all if the 4in can pull its weight? i could understand where it might not be suffiecent if i had a huge space or something like that but i mean this is pretty small i got 2 matures going right now and a seediling outside of tent is in the low 70's, in the tent 80 80.

I have two plants and it didnt cut the smell down at all. Small closet grow too. It does help keep the air cleaner and traps alot of dust though. Added some ona block linen too the mix and now there is 0 smell. Anybody who grows in apartments or small rooms should have a canister handy.

I run a cab basically the same dimensions, and originally bought that combo pack a couple years back. The filter is garbage, it MAY last one grow but probably not. The fan is good, if it's working. My first fan broke, called HTG they sent out a new one and a return box for the old one. Super simple, been using this same fan ever since. It will handle that size tent no prob.

I have the same tent and run a 4 inch inline fan 165 cfm. I use a speedster fan controller and turn the fan down to 1/4 speed or less. Still get negative pressure and all that.

The htg filters get a bad rap from what I have read. The Can filters are good but the small one is 18 inches long and I wanted to mount it horizontal with the fan and could not. I got a Phresh filter which lasted about 2 grows and tried a cheapy that lasted one.

I drilled out the rivets of the cheapy and refilled it with activated charcoal, granules not pellets which are inferior. The Can filter comes with a screw off top so you can refill it easy.

I have been using the the 4" fan and filter combo for almost 1 year now.I have a 5 x 6 x 7 ft. room. Anyone who says it doesn't work probably doesn't know how to use it right. It works great for killing the odor. It's not quite enough to keep the heat down, so now I will be using the 6" fan also, one for intake, one for exhaust.
I have a 1000 watt hps, and about 20 plants in flower at a time. This is the fourth grow on that little filter. I vent it through the wall, and can stand with my face right in front of it, and I only smell carbon, no bud smell what so ever.
I have been growing skunk #1, white widow, mango, LSD, sleestack x skunk, the ultimate, THC bomb, and Northern lights. Needless to say, they are mostly very stinky strains.
I was looking at 6" filters lately, and was going to go with can or phresh. But, I thought to myself , why bother? My 4" grow bright works great, so today I bought a 6" growbright combo to add. If my 4" grow bright didnt work, trust me, I wouldnt have bought another one.
