First Real Grow - Grower Of Buds

Day 1 - While trimming and watering houseplants i come across three seedlings growing out of the dirt reaching for the light (about 2 inches from ground to seed meat). I then moved the plants to a glass of water with my homemade SuperNitrate organic solution.

Day 5 - Leaves of three plants in water solution have swelled in size. Moved them to several larger pots. Moved the plants from under a single CFL to a set of 4-foot Fluorescents. Planted about 5 more seeds.

Day 6 - Green poking through the soil of one of the seeds planted. One of the first three plants beginning to look developmentally disabled (looks really retarded).

Day 12 - Largest of the 3 seedlings out of 5 seeds planted is transplanted into a larger pot. The tips of one of the other two were burned by light and the other seems as tho its growth is stunted.

Day 14 - The retarded one from day 6 seems as though the top is wilting and very light green in color while the bottom leaves are drying out and getting dark spotting.

Day 20 - Topped one of the plants from the first set of 3. Leaves torn on the larger plant so I plan to top that after the next set of leaves begins to grow. The retarded plan was all but dead so I threw it away. Received 10 seeds of an excellent strain and planted them (I tend to not pre-germinate seeds).

Day 21 - The plant that's growth seemed stunted began to show new signs of life as did the plant whose leaves were burned. Nine of the 10 green bud seeds have sprouted.

Day 22 - Twenty-five mixed seeds ranging from Alaskan Thunderfuck, Feminised White Widow, some kind of Alabama seeds that a cousin of mine let me have, and mixed green bud bag seed. I also plan to buy a 400 watt MH/HPS conversion lighting from a friend of mine. Here are some pictures as well. The first picture is my grow space before I went Sawz-All crazy and created my own grow cabinet. The second is a picture of my oldest plant. The third is the second oldest plant. The fourth is the oldest plant out of my second set of seeds. The fifth shows the recently sprouted green strain I received. So what do ya think?

the soil looks too wet, let the soil dry up, then water again. make sure you put enough for the plant or you will stunt its growth, so when you water have it so you can still see some dry dirt on top.

Thanks for the tip! I had just finished watering with my SuperNitrate compound. The leaves are wet from my misting the plants. IMO, heavily misting the plant itself helps strengthen the stem and branches.

PS - Sorry for the title of my grow journal. The title is GrowerOfBuds because that is my name on the Marijuana Passion growing forum. Can you change your name on this site? Or would that require changing profiles completely?

New pictures will be up tomorrow. I've topped a total of three plants and sprouted an entire new crop of an excellent strain of bud. Another month til I begin to flower my first set of plants.

As you can see, I have not yet been given back my digital camera but I have been quite busy with the little buggers. I have created yet another new grow cabinet, so that I now have two seperate grow cabinets. I'm still in search of a cheap, used MH/HPS conversion lighting system (a buddy of mine has one I'm going to buy except that I can never get ahold of the bastard!). Today I began low-stress training on my two oldest babies. I'm not really the type to sex early on. Hopefully I will have more pictures up very soon!

Began sexing the three largest plants today, wish me girls!

I am so angry right at the moment. I thought I sent about 20 pictures from my girlfriends phone to my email since my digital camera is still MIA, but I get to my email this morning (I sent them last night before bed), and NO PICTURES!!! So I check the phone I sent them from and my email address is wrong! I practice extreme pruning and was planning on doing a thread about it with before and after pictures of my plants but now I don't have any before pictures because I deleted them after I sent them. And the one plant looked so gorgeous before I pruned it (about 2 feet high and 2-3 feet in diameter). Will make another attempt tonight I guess
