Growin My First baby

i have just started to germinate my seeds (20) by placing them in a cup and store and a dark warm place once they crack what should i do run hot water over a 3liter bottle that is cut in half so i can put the plant in some soil or what all answers or advice are appreciated

Please keep on looking through the threads. Personally you should get some 2qt terracotta pots from your local hardware store and put them in soil. nothing clear...then get some bigger ones for when they get bigger and transplant them into the biggerest onesees. and your name is too original, I'm surprized it wasn't taken yet...gl with your baby

once they crack, plant each one in a platic keg cup, any color except clear. everybody has there own preference for soil mixes. i use 1/3 sterilized potting soil, 1/3 perlite, 1/3 bagged top soil. This mix breaths well. i dont use anything that has nutrients or fertilizer already in it. plant them 1/8 to 1/4 below the surface (root down, seed end up), water them with distilled water or rain water. spring water, drinking water and tap water is crap. ooops, make sure you poke a few 1/4 inch holes in the bottoms of the cups so they dont drown. place them under your 6500 K lights and dont water for a few days. while your waiting for those sexy ladies to grow, read the GROW FAQ section. hope this helped

i am growing outside and did i mess up by germinatin them in cold water but the cup is now room temp

i grow indoors but you still should start them indoors in a good soil mix in cups. you dont want a your little baby getting eating by bunnies or bugs. what is the weather like where you are? you maybe able to pull it off just by sticking germed seeds in the ground but it is very unlikely. im in New England and its still a little to cold to plant out side here. you wanna check to see what your lowest night temp is likely to be. anyways.... even when you plant them outside you are going to want to dig up a 2 foot by 2 foot hole, 2 ft deep too. and fill that in with potting soil. then plant when your plants are a few weeks old. 4- 6 inches tall, or bigger if possible. check the grow faq for outdoor grows....
