i put them directly under your light for 24 hrs a day untill there at the point you want to switch it to 18 -6 and veg..you can veg the whole way with 24 hrs..so no dark just right under 24 hrs of light

run them 24/0, through the veg process and when they show preflowers(or sooner if you'd like) switch to 12/12. thats what i would do.

i leave the light on, helps prevent some of the stretching you'd get in the dark(it will grow upwatds looking for light) i mean run the light constantly, 24 hrs on 0 off. lol

yeah, leave the light on constantly until you want to switch to 12/12, the plants dont really need a dark period, they do good w/o them. I never turn off my vegging lights.

those wont work if they are halogen or incandesent.

compact flouresent bulbs, you can get a few larger one or more smaller ones. those lights should be hung about an ich away if possible. for vegging you want mostly blue spectrum light and a little red spectrum. during flowering you want mostly red spectrum with a little blue. how much are you willing to invest though? an hps is the best choice, it beats the hell out of cfls.(i love my cfls and all but its hard to deny the truth. lol)
any help ok i went to walmart and got 150 w crystal clear and a 200 w crystal clear and i got one 90 w matel to make heat ..i am growing 4 plants i plain to stunt the grouth of them so they will not grow over 4 an half feet but ,,if those are not good bulbs i can buy at walmart then what ones help please..
it seems i have to water them ...ok last night at 1200 to 1100 today till this time. i had to water them ,,the heat or the lights are to hot on the dirt or should it dry them out like the dirt was not moist at all ,,,should the dirt get dry and crusty this first 24 hours

yep, i think you bought the wroong bulbs, lol, i said cfls my friend. i wouldnt worry bout the soil feeling a lil dry on top, thats normal. but till they pop you can keep the soil on top moist if you feel its getting too dry, after that your plant needs wet and dry cycles. as for keeping them under 4 feet-with the cfls it wont be a problem, topping and lst can keep a plant under a foot the whole life cycle easy. ive got 18 inches of height but make super bushy plants with lots of top colas.

lol, sorry bro, i havent had working internet the last 2 days, it went down on me. last pic is a cfl, a very small one, pic on top thats last is an incandesent floodlight=worthless, the 2 pics br that are normal incandesents=worrthless, the pic b4 that looks like some sort of flouro tube, which is the right type(the cfl is too) the first pic looks like a flouro tube, which will work but bro, heres the thing......we need to kno the watts and color spectrum and all that info. how much do you have to invest?
i got a lil bit in vested 250 ok,,one of those long bulbs say 40w then it residential light f40res the other long bulb in there which is two bulbs in pic 1 the secound bulb say sylvania cool whit plus f40/owp it is 40 w to bothe made in usa and in the six pic it is sku 423-599 model edxo-14
