Using a 400HPS alone I am turning a small profit, I broke even and a bit more with my first grow. I am getting 6 ounces per grow. I veg with 6 cfl's and my bill's 120 a month. Everything raised it 25 to 30 bucks. I mean it costs around 2 bucks a gram to grow.

I say pursue your goals! My number one rule is: Don't let cannabis get in the way of your life. If it's getting in the way, it has got to go for now. Just my thoughts, hope you figure it out!

My power bill is $300+ every month too, but that's because I'm running a server farm with 7 servers (20 virtual servers).

Box that HPS setup away and get a few CFLs. Grow one plant with some Miracle Grow and CFLs in a closet for personal smoke and replace all your incandescent bulbs with CFLs throughout the house. You'll see a huge decrease in your bill.

Maybe the right answer is to walk away for a few years all-together. I quit everything, got an education, got married, started a family, and got established in a great career field. Once I was satisfied with my life's accomplishments I took another look at Cannabis.

Gravy put it down for a bit...Buy a house and get settled with your girl. Then you may want to start a grow so that you won't be in the position of having to buy again. For now, focus in on what is important to you, the herb is not going anywhere it will be here when you return, I promise...

Thats a high electric bill for an apartment. I have a house, with 2 HPS, 4 fans on 24/7, 2 big screen tv's, computers, and all the other shit in a normal house and my bill is 200... if your bill is 300 you must be harvesting lots of ganj... cuz, I harvest a lot and my bill is way lower
