Growing from Flower

Just wanted to know if its ok to start a plant on 12/12 straight from a cutting. My first grow failed and I'm trying to salvage what I can. They were in veg for 33 days and flowering for 18 I think but something happened and they are dead/dying now so I took the most green branch to clone.

Ok todo this or should I switch it back to veg even though its already started to bud? Or is it even worth the effort?

i belive it would be best to let it grow for about 10 to 20 days to develop a good root system, then let it veg for about 3 weeks or longer..

Yeah, I mean you can't just cut the cutting and leave it in flower. You need to get some rooting hormone, then plant it under low lighting for about 7-10 days to establish their roots then you can probably start flowering. Make sure the HID is far away though, lower it a bit every few days

a waste of time in my opinion.. i've been wanting to know why people think it's a good idea to take a cutting that's sufficiently rooted... the quality will be the same, sure, but the quantity has to get taxed hardcore.... it just doesnt make any sense to let a chopstick grow my bud..

What, "a cutting thats sufficiently rooted"? You mean taking a cutting from a plant or taking a cutting from a flowering plant? I don't know if theres any difference but your cloning the plant you took it from. The idea is to keep females growing and the strains you want.
Might have misunderstood but I just don't want my failed crop to go to waste. I don't have any more seeds and these plants are done for so if I can keep something going I can at least learn how to make a better plant.

Check out my first grow if your interested. Went well for a while then bam, dead plants. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/24602-first-grow-w-unknown-seeds.html

Maybe I should revise my question... Can I put an already flowering cutting into veg and expect normal growth?
