You could go with that straight mix of ewc and perlite and see what happens, could be interesting.
Use milk for feedings. 2% low fat.
Don't forget weekly flushings with mountain dew!Use milk for feedings. 2% low fat.
Surprised if it works, Ewc shouldnt go over 20% of your mix plus has a consistency similar to mud.
That said, why the fuck not if its just an experiment.
Personally too much ewc or seaweed in any mix stunts the crap out of any seedlings ive ever tried planting in.
Aye it’s just an experiment so why not![]()
Got some free beans here to test out.
Yep. ^^Go for it, experimenting means you dont have to take peeps like me word for it.
Prior to experimenting with seeds make a mix and let it dry to see how solid it will become.
I more consider ewc to be an add on in the fact that it shouldnt comprise much of your mix.
Yep. ^^
Worm castings work well as a top dressing.
Have you tried that with insect frass?Dont bother top dressing soil with ewc, just dilute in water and pour on, much better![]()
too hot, Check the ec of the earthworm casting first. Cut it with perilite and peatmoss till you can get a reading. Then cut it further till you get the ec to under 1.7 ec. I am guessing 6-1 perilite and peat to worm castings
Frass works well on house plants. I bought some at a end of season sale for $1 a pound.Have you tried that with insect frass?
If not, you should give it a whirl.
Works like bat guano, but more balanced (2-3-2). Lots of chitin...![]()
Fair enough, remember small young plants prefer very low ec's . like .3 or .5. So there is that as well. I threw the 1.7 ec numnber out there as a max ec. I would use a number like that to repot a month old 1.5' or bigger plant from 2 gallons to 4 or larger. The younglings prefer much lower ec.Says the EC is 1.5 on the bag so might work.
I’m just curious to see how it goes.
Probably not well xD
