Welcome to my grow Cannacat. You're right about the varietys, mine is stout and squished together.

I try to incorporate as much information as possible, so if someone else has problems and stumbles onto my grow journal in google, they might find some help. And it's so I can have something to compare in the future, and out of plain bordem to be honest.

I'll check out your grow as well, I just noticed it in your signature.

Just a few more pictures, I'm really glad the growth is booming, hydro all the way.

There's a nice rootmass as well, although I'm pretty paranoid with pythium- I dread the day I open the reservoir to take a peak and see brown slime covering the roots... but for now they look fine, are not slimy to the touch and smell good, well, as good as roots smell I suppose.

I might order something for the roots, to give them an extra kick.

Gregor the setup and plant looks great. I just got up to date on grow and it seems as if your getting a handle on things. Nice. You said you wanted to get something for your roots. I've been using hydro guard and it works good. I haven't seen my roots since I put the screen on but they were massive. I can't wait to harvest just so I can see the roots. Good job on your grow I'm subbed so I'll be following. Smoke1

Really lookin good there man !
Those roots are killin it.
Plant seems to be healthy and growing well.
To control height and make for some huge nugs, I would suggest mainlining.
At LEAST top the plant a couple times.
This will remove the apical dominance of the main stem and make for a shorter & bushier plant, and make some of the side branches become major players.
Definitely scrog !

Nice work on the cabinet as well.
What's the temps like, including the soup.
If the nutrients aren't cool enough, you could get some slime.
I would def brew some of the tea I use.... then you will see a plant explosion, as well as root protection !

Thanks man, DWC has been really fun so far, never going back to soil! I'm starting to get a hang of things, for instance I don't get pH swings anymore.
The cabinet as always isn't finished, I constantly find something to tweak, I'm thinking of seperating it one day and doing to chambers.

Thanks to the cooltube and the new fan the temperature hovers at 30C/86, with that small black fan the temp stay at 22-27C/71-80F, MUCH better then with my last grow were I didn't really care about the temperatures. The soup itself (haha now I can use that word

) is mostly between 16-19C/60-66, I have no problems with controlling it so far as all I need to do is let some cold air in.

Hmm... I was thinking about it, you're brewing Heisenbergs tea right? I can't seem to find hydroguard in Europe...

There are similar products to HG, but YES, do the Heisenberg tea, or a close version of it, like mine (can't get Ancient Forest humus shipped here???).
Your temps are good, as are mine, I use the tea for a little extra peace of mind on controlling the slime, but the symbiotic relationship between the microbes and the roots is what makes the plants REALLY happy and explode with growth.

Hmmm... I used to stay clear of Heisenbergs tea, because it seemed so complicated... although he did write down what substitues to use, so that could make my life easier. I'll try to find the ingredients in Poland, can't wait to start thethe research.

How often do you have to change the reservoir? It said that the bennies die out after two days, but they can be stored in the fridge up to 10 days.

I lowered the ppms to about 480, so that's about 200 ppms worth of nutrients... I really hope that'll fix things up (it helped another lad on 420magazine).

Hey you know you've got that crispy looking leaf, what is that? Got that, to a smaller degree, on a couple of mine a while ago. It's grown out now and they're doing ok, just wondered if you know what's caused it on yours?

Ha thanks for joining again calliandra, as you can see not much has changed. Lots of "what's going on here" moments.

I can definitely recommend DWC, but it takes a while to get used to things.

You know what, I think it's the low RH in the air... leaves lose too much water through transpiration.
What did you do that yours is all ok now?

I have yet lowered the ppms to 380... valuable lesson learnt: STEADY ON THE NUTES.

My fault for thinking everyone to be a bunch of wierdos for adding half strength recommended nutrients.

Well mine did it straight after transplant, which is also when they went under the big light so I just put it down to the stress cos they struggled for a few days but settled once they built up tolerance to the more intense light and they've been fine since, so I don't know what it was but the leaves it's on have kept growing and there's been no more of it since.

Also, I have just used for the first time a Root Riot cube, absolutely spot on!

Nice setup my friend. A recommendation to you though. Move the light all the way up. You don't need it that close for the space and how big she is. It's too intense for her and she needs to stretch. Closer is not always better. I think this is the issue we talked about in the other thread as opposed to nutes, etc. Your roots look great and she's getting plenty of food. I'm certain this is the dilemma.

Haha cheers Stick, I have to admit that the third node of leaves are freakin' huge! Probably because of the nitrogen levels, but it's nearly as big as my hand.
Nice knowledge of strains there! From what I remember Blueberry is a killer strain, let's see how the baby turns out.

I've used RR when I was trying to germinate the seeds a month ago, but none survived... but then hey presto the Rockwool worked. How was the root development with it?

If I get as much as 50g off of this plant I'll be over the moon.

Hey blackforest, thanks for stopping by.

I did as you suggested esterday and moved the lights about 35 cm above the plant for now until she recovers. I think I could of overdone it like you said, I honesty got too hyped up with the cooltube thinking that it could be as close as pissible to the plant. Won't be making that mistake again, I had no idea too much light could slow the growth down.

But while the top isn't growing much, there is a lot of stalka ctivity under the leaves, so that's good.

I learned the hard way with my tents. Finally learned to put them up a bit and let the plant stretch and reach for the light a little. They should start to recover pretty soon. Also, good idea to run 18/6 vs. 24. They sometimes need a break.
