Growing in Michigan Winter Months

Yeah as also a southern californian i thought it sounded pretty nice. But plants don't take kindly to subzero temps. Id much rather deal with hot temps then the cold.. but to each their own. Thanks for the tip ill try and stay as safe as possible but there are no worries as i plan to do everything by the book.

On a good note... i got 2 x 220v outlets installed today on 20amp breakers. So I should be set as far as the lights and maybe even a decent heating unit. Im looking for a good wall mount or even a 1500w space heater setup on a thermostat. Probably going to go with the Silvertanium garage door insulation with Poly wrap. I haven't thought about this much but i still need to figure how to properly insulate the gaps on the sides of the garage doors. I might end up using weather stripping if worst comes to worst. Any ideas about that?

Spray foam or caulking, rubber tube insulation or "dum dum " to cram in maybe tape over ?? I get you'd like to be able to bring it down with no damage ... not to make any new thought cause I have had this issue one april back in the day in the so cal high desert white powder mold and what was a great fix was the obvious the exposed wood ... literally I could see splattering spray of on the wood " no cellulose " in the grow room a hydro shop owner once said to me

Does spray foam come off in one piece?.. the spray foam that I have used it like glue when it hardens. That may be my best bet I'm not sure if I'll have to open the garage much during the winter. We got about 2 inches of snow last night but it's not going to stick.

yeah I have a can U want it I used it all over the window A/C and it is hard I'm sure it'd come off with some plastic "trim" stick (Automobile trim panels) or cool plastic knife

Build a room in the back corner of the garage. Insulate the shit out of it. It's just 2 walls. You will save yourself lots of grief. It's nice and tidy. Everything is contained in that space with a additional looked door. That's what most people do with good results

The room is built already. I should post pics but there's nothing really to show yet. Still have to clean out the storage bs before my light gets here.

If you have a good insulated room. I wouldn't worry too much about the rest of the garage. I guess I should have read it better. Between the lights and maybe a small infrared ( like Eden pure style) heater with a thermostat you'll be fine. I have a friend that built a room in a old barn like that, no problems

Been pretty busy lately but I have done a little more insulation work on the room. Sealing gaps on the outside with caulking or foam insulation. Theres still a few spots on the inside that need to be sealed (small gaps where the wall was previously mudded). Still have to lay down 1/4 foam board insulation on the inside as well as a double reflective side radiant insulation.

On a side note we got about 6''-8'' of snow today.
