Alright. but about the pine tree thing can you please explain that?
Im from Michigan & have had good crops of Big Bud as well as Top 44 Skunk .
As allready pointed out you should not put your patch in any old growth pine sections of the forest or woods as the soil is not right for your needs ,if your not planting a plantation sized patch anywhere with decent sunlight will be ok.
Try & stay away from low lying areas that are prone to flooding.
I try & find locations that are not full sun locations for several reasons,in Michigan our season length sucks ass & is too short for many strains other than pure indica strains or predomanately indica strains, full sun areas tend to keep my plants vegging too long, since ive learned to look for partial sun areas my out of doors harvests have become more potent.
Ive had excellent results in keeping large varmints like deer away with common fishing line woven around neerby growth,it seems to freak the deer out & they go around instead of bulldozing right through.
Also keep in mind that in lower Michigan the helocoptors start flyby's in september over wooded areas that are cose to the larger citys like Detroit,Flint & Grand Rapids.
