montana. beautiful part of our country. probably the only state ive drove through and said sever al times "fuck this place is beautiful i should live here..." i know a lot of celebs have homes in the hills great falls i think? good luck with everything...i would think out there the sky is the limit

Most of the celebraties live near Bozeman. Like people said, fill a hole with good soil and make sure it stays watered. In the Western half of the state the summers get a bit of rain almost every afternoon, so you shouldn't be too bad unless you are in the east. Than I would just plant in the west as an excuse to get out of the east.

yea we dont get much rain where i live but im planting next to an irrigation ditch and will be looking at the plants on a daily basis.

dont answer that^ anyway im glad to see that there are other people growing in montana besides myself!
I wouldnt recomend growing outside in our summer/fall becauase it still gets to about freezing at night.
We used to have a cannabis cup entry every year with a strain called gallatain green, and it was grown in the mountains up big sky.
so its def possible, however G.G was genetically modified to withstand the cold.
i know its not recomended but i know alot of people that leave their plant outside for 12 hours, then when it gets cold they bring em in.
i hope all go wells with your grow btw. represent big sky country ahaha

hey i didnt mean to sound sketchy by that question i asked, i just meant like what region for growing), im from the southwest. It rarely gets below freezing during hte summer here so i think im going to do a guerrila grow up in the mountains. i think im going to start them outside in late may or early june

I live in montana and i just started growing cause i got my med card not growing in soil cause i just dont want 2 deal w that. I am growing some hydro in my basement have grow tent w 600 w hps and they r lovin the conditions and afgoo is flowering and looks practically white awesomeness!!

Iranian Short Season (ISS), which is a quick flowering strain that yeilds approx 200g outdoors and is very frost resistant would be my recommendation. http://www.drgreenthumb.com/cannabis_seeds_GreenthumbSeedsEntrance.htm

I have eleven plants in my garden in SW montana. The lemon skunks are 2+ feet tall right now. Should be a perfect year for an outdoor grow...I hope.

hell yeah montana is good for growing. i live up around flathead lake. the humidity is perfect and plants grow really fast. but lots of deer

I live in Butte Montana. and i have about 10 seeds me and my boyfriend have saved from previous bags we have smoked. and im thinking about taking some of the seeds up into the mountains and growing them next month sometime. we do get rain and a lot in our flood season, all id have to do is go up and find a shady but sunny spot to plant my WEED! 
oh yeah and i live about an hr away from bozeman and 2hrs away from great falls I don't know of any celebrities besides maybe Keith Sayers
