growing in the bathroom need help please

hay everyone! i have assembled a grow room in the bathroom i have the setup in the tub. i have the reservoir running to the veg try and plane to just change trays and lights to flip it into the flowering room both are covered by black plastic (like a shower curtin lol) and mylar all over. i also have a carbon scrubber right over the tub and and connect to the fan/vent in the bathroom.my bathroom is 11ft x 5ft x 8ft. the tube is 3ft x 5ft x 8ft.
im planning on growing 60 seeds of feminized white widow.

my questions are:
how long do i need to veg the plants?
how long do the plants need to flower?
VERY IMPORTENT will the smell be detected by neighbors (i live in an apartment complex)?
how many watt of light do i need for florescent and for HPS?
what kind of nutrients do i need (names please)?

will a 1 carbon scrubber kill the oder of the plants when im pulling it and pushing it in to the bathroom vent?

i live in an apartment complex my apt is right on the street right over the side walk so i didnt want to do the grow in the closet cause of the smell also beacause i cant cut and holes in the apartment then it will be real noticable. my only concern as far as smell goes is the naighbers no 1 is going to come to my house during that time.

also how much electicity will be used in a month if anybody has any idea about that question.


i lost my job 4 months ago im on unemployment and now my wife lost hers my son's birthday is coming up and we spent half of our money on rent and almost all whats left over on this project. i have been reading on the internet and ppl been doin this for years. i just want my first harvest and im goin to cut it down to just my personal use. Right now we need the money too. i just hope i dont get caught and lose my family.

hell yes. If you must grow start with one.

60 is a little over kill for what you want to do. As I see it you only have room for 3-5 at a time in there. lights, if you don't have money your kinda pucked. you can use little light but your grow will suffer. You will have smell. You should be carefull at least where I'm at you'll loose your kid if you get cought growing that even goes for med grows. also if you started a grow today it will be 3-4 months before you see anything off your plants.

a bathroom will not support that many plants! but ill answer a few of your questions anyways:

how long do i need to veg the plants?
depends on the strain but on average inbetween 4-8 weeks

how long do the plants need to flower?
can take as little as 8 weeks but as much as 12 weeks. The actual time varies from plant to plant but a guideline is 12 hours light and 12 hours dark. be sure to use a flowering booster such as 10-52-10 or DNF carbologic

yes! in flowering the plant releases an even stroooonger smell. very hard to cover up!

how many watt of light do i need for florescent and for HPS?
4 40 watt floros and/or 2-3 400 watt hps

what kind of nutrients do i need (names please)?
start with 20-20-20 in vegetative growth. then go to the 10-52-10 in flowering. you can use many different brands they all have the nutrient numbers on the front in that order but i highly suggest DNF carbologic all way through theres also DNF bloom fortifier and veg fortifier.

...it really depends on how big you want your plants to be at harvest. You can go straight to flowing a plant from seed if you'd like.

...some autoflowers are done in 6 weeks from seed. I have a strain that takes 15 weeks also.

...a 40 watt flo has 3000 lumens. a 400 watt HPS has like 50,000 lumens. You want more lumens.

a carbon filter will help cut down on odor, but it will not eliminate all of it.. my ? is where does your bathrooms vent fan go to once it leaves your place? do you know if its tied in with any of the other apartments, or if it just goes straight outside once it leaves your building... one way to find out is to put something rather stinky into your bathroom and than run the fans.. make sure its not something that will not get you into trouble.. and let the fan run for a few hours and shut it off.. over the course of the next few days, casually bring up the odor to any neighbors.. like.. jessh, did you smell that horrible skunk smell the ohter nite in your apartment? i had it in my place and i couldn't figure where it was coming from... or whatever..
i know that roseman has a thread on here called the diy odor control bucket.. he takes some of that ona stuff and a fan and a bucket.. he drills some holes in the bucket around the bottom, mixes some of the ona with water, and places a fan on the top of the bucket. .. the fan sucks the smelly grow room air into the bucket and forces it through the ona water combo, and it then comes out of the holes smelling laundry fresh... i would think that if you used something like this along with a carbon filter, it should greatly cut down on any odors...
there are also lower odor strains that you may want to consider growing.. i know one of them is northern lights... there is also a website called dopeseeds.com i believe is the name..they have a section over on the left hand side of the site that is called low odor strains... if you give it a look, im sure you could find one or two that would fit your needs.. i have never ordered from that site, but i have heard that they are reliable and you would have no problems from doing so..

well guys thanks for your help. but im so scared of the smell leaking to the naighbers cause if i get caught i will lose my hole family for very long time. it kinda sucks cause im doin this for us but thier wont be any "us". anyway do you guys think i should do it? or just live and hope that we find jobs before we get throwen out of our place. this is fucked up they lock you up for doing something that they dont approve of but will not help you keep your family and life on track. im not asking to be rich just asking to maintain stay above water (im thinking about joining the army but that could kill me LOL). didnt you just answer your question...if your worried about getting caught and dont have the right conditions or area to grow then dont do it
