what strain? im pretty sure its going to get much colder than that. and those temps im pretty sure are enuff to kill a plant. try to keep her indoors till the last frost around feb. and flower her then

Yeah its to late into winter now to start a grow outdoors in North America. If you live in New York you probably wont be able to get plants out till April.

jeeze, people. the temperature isn't the only concern. the photo period of wintertime will immediately cause the little plant to flower and you'll have a tiny bud growth by an immature plant so the THC content will be very low.

gorw indoors during the winter.

Absolutely right closet cult, short hours make buds, but if it was warmer you can fool the plants by turning on a spotlight in the yard when it gets dark. Not a reality in the woods, but in a yard near electric it's possible. I live in CT and spring planting outside with hardened off plants works best after May 10th depending on strain. Earlier , the ground is too cold. New York City has about the same seasons as CT. If the weeds die off then the weed won't grow.I don't know your specifics but you can grow small portable plants in a makeshift greenhouse late into the season but they must come in on cold days and at night. Give it a couple years, with global warming you'll be growing year round

from what i have read, the best results in growing outdoor is to start seedling plants in april-may, just like mother earth does.

keeping a plant in veg thru the winter does NOT guarentee an extra large plant or harvest. in fact, for reasons which i cant remember, a seed started in may will out size and out yeild one that is over-wintered.

so there is no good reason to try to grow a plant outdoors, in the wintertime. (except those places where winter days are no different then summers. but then, when do you harvest?) so, you will have to wait almost a year for harvest and it the yield wont even be worth it.

yeah my grandfather from italy, when he moved here he had a grow room down in his basment. he use to combine diffrent strands of plants and make hybrids. my dad said he did some other things to that were green with a bud, lol.

so i learn from him. this flower outside blooms all year long i have to trim it once the tops die

It's like asking can you grow marijuana in a cave, or on the sun or moon.. You can't go against nature, unless you do it indoors.
